  • Patent number: 10434835
Abstract: A hydraulic actuator circuit is disclosed for use with first and second shock absorbers, which each may include a piston disposed within a housing. The piston helps define upper and lower working chambers. The circuit may have a motor, a first pump, driven by the motor, and is associated with the first shock absorber and the motor. A second pump, driven by the motor, may be associated with the second shock absorber. A first accumulator communicates with both of the first and second pumps. A first switch valve may assist in controlling fluid flow into the chambers of the first shock absorber. A second switch valve may assist in controlling fluid flow into the chambers of the second shock absorber.

  • Patent number: 10358010
Abstract: A vehicle suspension system may include hydraulic actuators, first and second conduits, and first and second switch valves. Each actuator includes a cylinder and a piston that divides an interior of the cylinder into compression and rebound chambers. First and third ports of each cylinder are openings to the rebound chamber. Second and fourth ports of each cylinder are openings to the compression chamber. The first conduit connects the third port of a first actuator with the fourth port of a second actuator. The second conduit fluidly connects the third port of the second actuator with the fourth port of the first actuator. The first switch valve is connected to the first and second ports of the first one of the hydraulic actuators. The second switch valve is connected to the first and second ports of the second one of the hydraulic actuators.

  • Publication number: 20160367151
Abstract: A sensing system includes a sensor including a flexible substrate and a graphene oxide sensing element deposited on the flexible substrate. The graphene oxide sensing element has first and second sides. First and second electrical connectors coupled to the first and second sides of the graphene oxide sensing element, respectively. A power source is coupled to the first and second electrical connectors of the sensor and is adapted to apply a constant voltage to the sensor. The sensing system also includes a measurement element measuring a current in the graphene oxide sensing element due to the constant voltage and a calculation element calculating an electrical resistance of the graphene oxide sensing element based on the electrical current and the constant voltage and calculating a condition at a location of the sensor based on a relationship between the electrical resistance and the condition for the graphene oxide sensing element.

  • Publication number: 20130319804
Abstract: A shock absorber has a first pressure tube and a second pressure tube. A first piston is disposed within the first pressure tube and a second piston is disposed within the second pressure tube. Movement of the first and second pistons within their respective pressure tubes control both damping characteristics for the shock absorber and stiffness for the shock absorber. Valving in the pistons and/or external valving associated with each pressure tube generates both the damping characteristics and the stiffness.

  • Patent number: 8409333
Abstract: Process for the recovery of ethylene oxide (EO) from fat absorbent (FA) which comprises providing a feed of elevated temperature FA to an EO Stripper, providing a stripping gas feed and contacting the stripping gas feed at elevated temperature with the elevated temperature FA feed, obtaining stripped lean absorbent (LA) and an EO-containing gas, and providing one or more external process stream feeds to the EO Stripper at a location above the elevated temperature FA feed and at a lower temperature with respect to the elevated temperature FA feed thereby concentrating EO in the EO-containing gas. The process can also include one or more impurity removal stages in the form of one or more side draws from the EO Stripper or an EO Stripper Concentrator. The invention also includes an apparatus for performing the process.

  • Patent number: 7011193
Abstract: A gas shock absorber has a pressure tube which defines a working chamber. A piston assembly divides the working chamber into an upper working chamber and a lower working chamber. A plurality of extension passages extend through the piston assembly and are opened and closed by an extension valve assembly. A plurality of compression passages extend through the piston assembly and are opened and closed by a compression valve assembly. A rod guide assembly is located between the pressure tube and the piston rod. The rod guide assembly includes an oil chamber for sealing and lubricating the piston rod. An axially movable piston maintains the pressure within the oil chamber equal to the pressure in the upper working chamber.
