  • Patent number: 8198569
Abstract: A surface structure (1) that is at least partially electrically conductively coated by a conductor coating (11), and which can be connected to an electric power source by at least one electric connecting conductor (2). The connecting conductor (2) electrically contacts the conductor coating (11) at at least one solder point (3), and the conductive coating (11) is thickened at least at one contact zone (4) in the area of the solder point (3) as opposed to other areas (7) of the surface structure (1).
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: June 12, 2012
    Assignee: W.E.T. Automotive System AG
Inventors: Martin Krobok, Markus Voelk, Peter Bramberger
  • Publication number: 20070246120
Abstract: A multi-layer oversewn system having at least two flat electric conductors A protective layer made of an elastic material is located at least in an oversewn region between the flat electric conductors. The material of the protective layer is selected in such a way that it prevents a short-circuit between the flat electric conductors during the oversewing process by sealingly engaging the needle during the oversewing process.

  • Patent number: 5971429
Abstract: A steering wheel for motor vehicles is provided and has a horn switch that is disposed thereon as well as an air bag device that has a receiving chamber for receiving a gas generator as well as an air bag that is folded therein. The opening of the receiving chamber is closed off by a protective cover that has a predetermined breaking point and that can be opened when the device is activated by the inflating air bag. To carry out a honking function, the protective cover is disposed so as to be relatively movable. The receiving chamber for the air bag is closed off by a hold-down part that absorbs the packing pressure, is held in place on the receiving chamber, and opens as a consequence of the inflating air bag. To be able to open, the hold-down part is provided with a predetermined breaking point.

  • Patent number: 5960611
Abstract: A method for packing an inflatable airbag of a passenger restraint system of a motor vehicle into a housing, wherein the airbag includes a fabric envelope stored in a housing when not in use and is automatically inflated by a gas generator into a form of use when activated, includes the steps of firstly bringing the airbag into the form of use and secondly contacting the airbag in the form of use by mechanical folding aids and pushing the mechanical folding aids into the airbag. At least one first fold is formed so as to be arranged in a single fabric layer on the gas generator so that gas, produced by the gas generator for inflating the airbag when activated, directly impacts on the single fabric layer of the at least one first fold without flowing along other fold surfaces.
