  • Patent number: 11478633
Abstract: A method and system are described for, based upon a plurality of previously-acquired directional LFP signals measured in a plurality of different directions at a directional sensor lead located in a predetermined region of a patient's brain, determining optimised patient-specific programming parameters for programming a directional stimulation lead with parameters for stimulating the said region. The method comprises a first step of determining, over at least one predetermined frequency range, a power-frequency variation curve of each of the directional LFP signals, a second step of identifying frequency peaks in the power-frequency variation curves, a third step of detecting one of the identified frequency peaks at which a maximum difference in signal power between the directional LFP signals occurs, and a fourth step of calculating a plurality of directional stimulation weighting factors on the basis of the relative signal powers of the directional LFP signals at the detected frequency peak.

  • Patent number: 11432873
Abstract: Adjacent tissue layers can be accessed using a catheter device with a distal tip having a conductive portion including a first cutting feature and one or more projections extending from the first cutting feature towards an outer diameter of the distal tip. • Publication number: 20220143415
Abstract: An emulation apparatus emulates an electrophysiological signal derived from a target area of a human or animal nervous system under the influence of a stimulation signal applied to the human or animal body. A prior signal generator generates a prior signal representing an electrophysiological signal in the absence of stimulation. A test signal representing a stimulation signal is received and used by a modelling unit to derive a modulation signal representing the degree of modulation of the electrophysiological signal, in accordance with a model of the temporal evolution of the modulation of the electrophysiological signal caused by the stimulation signal. A modulation unit modulates the prior signal in accordance with the modulation signal to output an emulation signal representing an electrophysiological signal derived under the influence of the stimulation signal. The emulation apparatus has wide use in neuroscience research, bioengineering and clinical applications.

  • Patent number: 11327338
Abstract: Eyewear device includes an eyeglass frame, a temple, and a coupling device for hingedly coupling the temple to the eyeglass frame, formed of an elastically deformable material, and including a single flexible arm of an elongate shape and a front end portion positioned and retained against the front surface of the eyeglass frame. The single flexible arm extends from the front end portion into a slot in the frame and an internal elongate slot in the temple positioned in opposing alignment therewith. The elasticity of the coupling device flexibly, hingedly couples the temple to the eyeglass frame and allows a temple that has suffered inordinate bending moments and directions to instantly return to nominal use by retightening or replacing the coupling device, and/or by repositioning the temple to properly abut the eyeglass frame.

  • Publication number: 20210370070
Abstract: When generating a stimulation signal comprising stimulation pulses delivered to a target area of a human or animal body, an electrophysiological signal measured from the body for closed-loop control of the stimulation signal, is sampled, at a sampling frequency in an analogue-to-digital converter for deriving a feedback signal for closed-loop control of the stimulation signal. The generation of the stimulation signal and the sampling of the electrophysiological signal are synchronised and have a relative phase selected to cause the sampling to occur outside the stimulation pulses, which prevents the effect of the stimulation pulses from interfering with the digital electrophysiological signal, whiles allowing maintenance of Nyquist-Shannon rules and the integrity of the discrete Laplace transform (z-transform) required in discrete control theory.

  • Publication number: 20210275177
Abstract: Devices and methods for deploying an anastomotic stent between portions of the gastro-intestinal (GI) tract are disclosed. The anastomotic stents are configured to atraumatically engage the tissue walls and to permit the flow of fluid, partially digested food, and food. The stents can be deployed using endoscopic catheter devices, laparoscopic tools, and combinations of both endoscopic tools and laparoscopic tools. Examples of anastomoses include anastomoses between the stomach and a portion of the intestines such as the jejunum. Anastomoses can also be formed between two closed ends of the intestines, such as two closed ends of the colon formed during a colon resection procedure. Anastomoses can also be formed between a fundal pouch formed during a gastric bypass procedure and the jejunum. Laparoscopic tools are disclosed to deploy a stent by selectively removing a radial restraint on a self expanding stent with the restraint removed through the laparoscopic access points.

  • Publication number: 20210172713
Abstract: Aluminum structures, such as tactical vehicle hulls, include plural aluminum components formed from a first alloy composition and joined by one or more welded seam(s). The welded seam(s) may be formed by friction stir welding and/or gas metal arc welding using welding wire made from the first alloy composition. In this manner, all component parts are made from the same alloy composition, providing a more homogeneous structure. The welded component parts then may be placed in a heat treatment furnace to temper the structure. Because essentially all of the aluminum structure before heat treating—the welded seam(s) and the individual component parts—is formed of the same starting material and these parts/seam(s) are simultaneously and evenly heat treated, the resultant hardened, heat-treated part (e.g., a vehicle hull) has a more homogeneous hardened/heat treated structure in the individual parts and across the welded seam(s).

  • Publication number: 20210124763
Abstract: Systems and methods provide custom synchronization procedures in file synchronization. A primary agent is used to monitor for changes, create synchronization plans to synchronized changes, and execute the synchronization plan. The primary agent, however, interacts with one or more separate custom agents to customize the synchronization plans. One exemplary technique involves monitoring for local changes to a first copy of a file tree and updates from another computing device regarding remote changes to a second copy of the file tree. When a change to either copy is identified, a synchronization plan for the change is created based on a default synchronization procedure. The synchronization plan is sent to a custom agent for customization. The custom agent creates the custom synchronization plan by modifying the synchronization plan and sends the custom synchronization plan to the primary agent. The custom synchronization plan is then executed by the primary agent.

  • Patent number: 10951491
Abstract: A server system includes a memory, a processor in communication with the memory, and a server managing a plurality of cooperating microservices. The server executes on the at least one processor to capture tracing information reported during invocation of a set of cooperating microservices. The tracing information includes a service name and version information associated with at least one microservice of the set of cooperating microservices. Additionally, the server builds an application deployment profile from the service name and version information, compares the application deployment profile to an existing profile, and classifies the application deployment profile as a previously existing profile, a subset profile, an extension profile, and/or an updated profile. The server tracks performance data associated with the application deployment profile.
