  • Patent number: 8239161
Abstract: The present invention relates to a shaft encoder device, comprising magnetic sensor means designed to detect the magnetic field of a magnetic field generating means stationary with respect to the shaft, a light source, optical sensor means designed to detect light emitted from the light source and reflected or transmitted by an encoder disk stationary with respect to the shaft, and signal processing means designed to receive first data from the magnetic sensor means and second data from the optical sensor means, and to determine an angle of rotation of the shaft from the received first data and/or to determine the angle of rotation of the shaft from the received second data.

  • Publication number: 20120132452
Abstract: A handheld power tool, including a tool socket on a drive shaft for purposes of holding a tool, the drive shaft executing a rotating and partially tangentially striking movement using a tangential striking mechanism drivable by a drive. The tangential striking mechanism has an anvil associated with the drive shaft and a hammer associated with the drive, movable with respect to each other so as to strike each other axially when under the effect of the force of at least one first spring, and to strike each other tangentially when the anvil and the hammer are rotated. The hammer has a main mass, and an extra mass that is under the effect of a second spring couplable to the main mass.

  • Publication number: 20100263890
Abstract: A control method according for an impact wrench includes ascertaining whether the impact wrench applies an impact when the drive shaft rotates in a lower speed range. The speed of the drive shaft then is increased to a higher speed range as a function of an ascertained impact during the rotation in the lower speed range.
