  • Publication number: 20240115195
Abstract: Apparatus and methods provide compliance management tools such as for respiratory pressure therapy. In some versions, a respiratory pressure therapy system may include one or more processors, such as of a data server, configured to communicate with a computing device and/or a respiratory pressure therapy device. The respiratory pressure therapy device may be configured to deliver respiratory pressure therapy to a patient for a session. The computing device may be associated with the patient. The processor(s) may be further configured to compute a therapy quality indicator of the session from usage data relating to the session. The therapy quality indicator may be a number derived from contributions of a plurality of usage variables for the session in the usage data. The processor(s) may be further configured to present, such as by transmitting, the therapy quality indicator to the computing device. The therapy quality indicator may promote patient compliance.

  • Publication number: 20040028862
Abstract: A fibrous closure comprises a dimensionally stable, heat resistant fibrous backing layer and a layer of high shear strength pressure sensitive adhesive. The closure is used in conjunction with a heat shrinkable, wraparound sleeve for sealing cable jackets, connectors and joints between lengths of pipe or other elongate objects. The sleeve is wrapped around the object such that its ends overlap. The closure is then applied over the overlapping ends of the sleeve to prevent slippage of the overlapping ends during heat shrinking, and to prevent subsequent creeping of the overlap joint due to hoop stresses in the shrunken sleeve. The closure avoids use of a relatively inflexible polymeric backing layer, and is therefore able to conform to objects having a relatively small diameter or irregular shape.

  • Patent number: 5463219
Abstract: A mass analyzer system uses a simultaneous mode electron multiplier detector which outputs both a pulse count and an analog signal. Depending on the ion flux intensity, the signals define a pulse count only region in which the pulse count only signal is valid, an overlap region in which both the pulse count and analog signals are valid, an analog signal only region in which only the analog signal is valid, and a neither analog nor pulse region in which neither signal is valid. The system produces a separate flag for each region. When a mass spectrum is scanned, for each dwell the pulse count and analog data are recorded together with their associated flag and are placed in memory. The signals, with the flags, can then be used to produce a mass spectrum using the pulse count only signal, the analog only signal, or both.

  • Patent number: 5358973
Abstract: A composition for use in surgical operations to prevent adhesions between tissue surfaces, comprising an aqueous solution containing dextran in an amount of 7 to 20% and hyaluronic acid in an amount of 0.5 to 6%, the dextran having a weight average molecular weight within the range of 30,000 to 75,000 and the hyaluronic acid having a weight average molecular weight within the range 500,000 to 6,000,000.

  • Patent number: 5190759
Abstract: A composition for the prevention of adhesions between body tissues after a surgical operation, containing dextran and hyaluronic acid. The composition further claims the use of said components for the preparation of such a composition as well as its use as an agent for the prevention of adhesions.
