  • Patent number: 7681249
Abstract: A conditioning garment has front and rear panels (11, 12) with a neck opening (13) between them. A manifold (17) extends along the lower edge of the front (11) panel and a manifold (24) extends along the lower edge of the rear panel (12). Tubes (27) extend between the manifolds (17, 24) and carry conditioned liquid over the torso of a wearer to heat/cool the torso. The tubes (27) are equally spaced and generally the same length to provide even heating/cooling. The garment (10) is easy to don and remove. The garment (10) can be modified by the addition of various chest compression devices, a neck support and a harness tensioning device. All these are designed to encounter increased +G-forces on the body of a wearer.

  • Publication number: 20080196182
Abstract: A fascine is formed by an assembly of inflatable elongate members (10, 11). There may be some members that are tubes (11) and others that are pipes (10) with the tubes (11) being of smaller diameter than the pipes (10) and forming a trackway above the pipes (10) when the fascine is deployed. The members have inflatable chambers and an inflation system (20) for inflating the chamber. The inflation system (20) is located within the chamber.

  • Patent number: 5567191
Abstract: The invention provides an inflatable life jacket which is held in a horse-shoe shaped cover from which the jacket breaks free when inflated. The jacket has two legs (34, 36) and a rear jacket (44,46). The rear portion (44, 46) fits behind the user's head and the legs (34,36) locate to opposite sides of the user's chest. The legs (34,36) are approximately of equal length, but their inner edges are profiled so that one has a major section (42) which extends across the user's chest and a minor lobe (40) which lies adjacent the user's neck and the other leg (36) has a major lobe (38) which also extends across the user's chest and registers with a narrow portion of the other leg lying between the major section (42) and inner lobe (40) so as to interfit with said narrow portion and to underlie (at least partially) said other leg (36) to prevent the formation of a water channel between the legs (34, 36). the rear portion has extension lobes (44,46) to increase buoyancy behind the head.
