  • Patent number: 12497147
Abstract: A marine propeller combination for a marine propulsion unit includes a first propeller and a second propeller arranged to rotate simultaneously in opposite directions about a common rotational axis. The marine propeller combination is configured such that the first and second propellers are angularly positioned such that during one revolution one of the blades of the first propeller is aligned with a drive leg of the marine propulsion unit when a blade gap of the second propeller is aligned with the drive leg, or one of the blades of the first propeller is aligned with the drive leg when one of the blades of the second propeller is aligned with the drive leg. The disclosure further relates to a marine vessel and to a method of operating a marine propeller combination.

  • Publication number: 20240010316
Abstract: A propeller drive arrangement includes a propeller shaft, a planetary gear comprising a first planetary gear member, a second planetary gear member and a third planetary gear member, an outer shaft arranged coaxially with and radially outside of the propeller shaft, A gear wheel set drivingly connecting the second planetary gear member with the outer shaft, The outer shaft is drivingly connected to the one or more propeller blades for varying the pitch angle. The propeller shaft is drivingly fixed to the first planetary gear member, and the second planetary gear member drives the outer shaft via the gear wheel set by a driving torque exerted on the propeller shaft.

  • Publication number: 20130036975
Abstract: An automatic milking system (11) includes i) a milking apparatus (12) with teat cups (15a-d) and milk flow rate measuring equipment (16a-d) for measuring the individual milk flow from each of the teats of the animal; and ii) a teat-cup device (14) attaching the teat cups to the teats of the animal prior to milking the animal. The milk flow measuring equipment is arranged to measure the individual milk flow rate from each of the teats of the animal continuously during the milking of the animal.

  • Publication number: 20040166061
Abstract: According to the invention, a major role for the winged helix protein FKHL14/FOXC2 in regulating energy balance and adiposity is demonstrated. The invention relates to transgenic non-human mammalian animals being capable of expressing the human FKHL14/FOXC2 gene in its adipose tissue. The invention also relates to methods for identifying compounds useful for the treatment of medical conditions related to obesity or diabetes, said compounds being capable of stimulating expression of the human FKHL14/FOXC2 gene, or being capable of stimulating the biological activity of a polypeptide encoded by the human FKHL14/FOXC2 gene. The invention further relates to methods for identifying compounds useful for the treatment of medical conditions related to malnutrition, said compounds being capable of decreasing expression of the human FKHL14/FOXC2 gene, or being capable of decreasing the biological activity of a polypeptide encoded by the human FKHL14/FOXC2 gene.
