Abstract: The present invention relates to oral compositions such as dentifrices or mouthwashes.By inclusion therein of a shorter chain mono- and dialkylphosphate as surfactant, a mild product is obtained which also has improved anti-caries properties.Preferred are sodium mono- and di-octyl phosphates for use in these compositions.

Abstract: The invention relates to oral compositions for combating dental caries. The compositions comprise a fluorine-containing anti-caries agent such as sodium fluoride or sodium monofluorophosphate and a particulate hydroxyapatite as abrasive. These ingredients are surprisingly compatible in that there is a reduced loss of available fluoride upon storage.

Abstract: The present invention relates to oral compositions for treating sensitive teeth.These compositions comprise an agent for desensitizing sensitive teeth, such as potassium nitrate of strontium acetate, and a particulate abrasive material which is hydroxyapatite. The hydroxyapatite is compatible with the desensitizing agent.
