  • Publication number: 20260000867
Abstract: A catheter torquing device is provided that enables a physician to rotate (e.g., torque) a catheter using a single hand. The provided catheter torquing device includes a catheter holder that can be slid onto a catheter. The catheter holder is adjustable between an engaged state, in which the catheter holder tightly grips the catheter, and a disengaged state, in which the catheter holder releases its grip on the catheter. When the catheter holder is in the engaged state, rotation of at least a portion of the catheter holder also rotates the catheter, whereas when the catheter holder is in the disengaged state, the catheter holder and the catheter can be translated relative to one another. The catheter torquing device further includes a base member that may be positioned directly onto a middle portion of a catheter and coupled to the catheter holder.

  • Publication number: 20250261942
Abstract: An apparatus for closing a surgical incision comprises left and right base panels, a plurality of closure components, and a plurality of left and right axial supports coupled to the respective base panels. The closure components couple the left and right base panels to each other laterally and have left and right ends coupled to the respective base panels. The closure components are positioned laterally across the left and right panels, the left axial supports are disposed between pairs of left closure component ends, the right axial supports are disposed between pairs of right closure component ends, and the left and right axial supports are offset from one another such that a serpentine arrangement of consecutive closure components and axial supports is formed. The apparatus can be made of antimicrobial materials or materials impregnated with antimicrobial agents. A flexible adhesive cover can be provided over the apparatus when in use.

  • Publication number: 20240148504
Abstract: A catheter device for implanting a medical implant such as a prosthetic heart valve has a handle configured to control/steer multiple sheaths of the catheter device. A handle includes a grip portion, a rotatable deployment knob and a traveler. An outer sheath is connected to the traveler and the deployment knob is operatively connected to the traveler such that the traveler and thereby the outer sheath are moved along the longitudinal axis with respect to the inner sheath. The handle includes a rotatable axial positioning knob and a rotatable deflection knob. The deployment knob is arranged proximally to the axial positioning knob.
