    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a new hypersomotic intracellular flush and storage solution for preserving an organ for transplantation. In addition, the present invention is directed to a method for preserving an organ to be transplanted by using the flush solution of the invention. Among the components of the solution are various physiologic salts, mannitol, adenosine, allopurinol and verapamil.
