    Abstract: High modulus, flexible laminated films may be fabricated from chitosan and pectin. Either glycerol or lactic acid as plasticizer and, optionally, starch may also be blended with either the pectin or chitosan solutions used for film preparation. The laminated films are biodegradeable, and the components are derived from renewable agricultural products.
