    Abstract: An antibacterial cream is provided which can be used for topical application in the treatment of burns and other skin disorders. The topical creams of the invention can be used without the need to destroy surface barriers and provide significant penetration into the wound. The creams of the present invention comprise a bacterial agent distributed in a cream base which contains 20-50% of at least one hydrocarbon component and at least one polyol moisturizing component, on a weight to weight basis.
