    Abstract: A transmission park-lock mechanism having a transmission shaft and a toothed gear thereon. A latch is mounted on a shaft adjacent the gear and engages the gear teeth for restraining the gear and the transmission shaft from rotating. There is a shaft and a lever and a torsion spring, all for positioning the latch into and out of engagement with the gear teeth.
