  • Publication number: 20170304577
Abstract: A patient interface can have features improving the comfort of use by reducing the perceived pressure of a nose-contacting cushion of the patient interface, against the nose. The patient interface can have rigid headgear connection elements connectable to a frame of the respiratory interface. The rigid headgear connection elements can be shaped to reduce the force of the cushion against the nose. Headgear for a patient interface can also have features improving the stability of headgear of the head. The headgear can have a relatively framework and a relatively pliable overlay covering the framework. The rigid framework can have apertures defining a front portion to be positioned below or near the cheekbones, rear portion to be positioned over the sides of the head around the ears, and a top portion to extend upward along the head towards the crown.

  • Publication number: 20170302459
Abstract: The present invention provides for streamlined issuance of certificates and other tokens that are contingent on key attestation of keys from a trusted platform module within a computing platform. Various methods are described for wrapping the requested token in a secret, such as an AES key, that is encrypted to a TPM based key in a key challenge. If the requesting platform fails the key challenge, the encrypted certificate or token cannot be decrypted. If requesting platform passes the challenge, the encrypted certificate or token can be decrypted using the AES key recovered from the key challenge.

  • Patent number: 9794020
Abstract: A method and system for distributed spatial mode processing is disclosed. A number of optical signals are received over an optical link. Each optical signal is received via a respective one of a number of spatial modes of the optical link. The optical link includes a particular spatial mode not used for the receiving. A first one of the number of optical signals received from a first one of the number of spatial modes is transferred to a second one of the number of spatial modes via the particular spatial mode, wherein the first one of the number of optical signals is transmitted via the second one of the number of spatial modes.

  • Publication number: 20170280948
Abstract: The invention relates to a wall-mountable hand dryer of the type which uses an air-knife to wipe the water from a user's hand. In accordance with the invention, the hand dryer is configured to have a maximum depth, front-to-back, of less than 150 mm when it is surface-mounted on—not recessed within—the wall. The air-knife is discharged downwardly through one or more discharge apertures on the dryer. These discharge apertures are configured so that the air-knife is discharged in front of the wall or a rear part of the dryer, and is discharged forwards towards the user at a downward angle. The downward angle of the air-knife is such that the air-knife projects to a distance of at least 75 mm in front of the wall or, as the case may be, in front of the rear part of the dryer.

  • Patent number: 9774056
Abstract: A fuel cell stack assembly comprises a plurality of fuel cells in a stack, the stack defining two opposing parallel end faces. An end plate is disposed at each opposing end face of the stack. Each end plate defines a compression surface adjacent to and in compressive relationship with a respective one of the two opposing parallel end faces. A coupling mechanism is attached to the end plates to thereby maintain the fuel cells in the stack under compression. At least one, preferably both, of the end plates comprise a preformed element defining the compression surface, the preformed element being configured with a predetermined curvature such that the compression surface is a convex surface when the preformed element is not under load whereas, under the application of the load to maintain the fuel cells under compression, flexure of the preformed element between elements of the coupling mechanism causes the compression surface to become a substantially planar surface.

  • Publication number: 20170246411
Abstract: An interface for positive pressure respiratory therapy includes a mask assembly having a mask seal and a mask shell. The mask assembly is positioned lower than and exposes a bridge of the user's nose. The mask seal includes first and second portions on respective first and second sides of a nasal region that contact opposing sides of the user's nose. The first and second portions each include supports that help maintain a shape of the mask seal. A pair of covers can be supported relative to the mask assembly and adjacent a respective one of the first and second portions of the mask seal. The covers limit expansion of the first and second portions of the mask seal in response to pressurized air within the mask seal. The supports of the first and second portions can transfer load from the mask seal to the covers.
