Abstract: Mechanisms for selecting TDD patterns for DL and UL communication in TDD slots on CCs in a cell. A method is performed by a network management node. The method includes performing selection of the TDD patterns for DL and UL communication on CCs in the cell. According to the selection of the TDD patterns, at least one of the CCs is configured with a first TDD pattern, and at least one of the CCs is configured with a second TDD pattern. • Publication number: 20250192827
Abstract: A method performed by a network node for handling beam-based communication between a terminal and a radio network node in a wireless communications network. The wireless communication network includes a Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface, RIS, for reflecting radio signals between the terminal and the radio network node. The RIS is controlled by the network node which predicts for each terminal, one or more first communication parameters to be used for the beam-based communication between the terminal and the radio network node. The network node configures each terminal, radio network node and RIS based on the predicted parameters. In response to a predicted change the network node estimates for each terminal, one or more second communication parameters to be used for the beam-based communication. Based on an evaluation of the predicted change, the network node updates the configuration of each terminal, radio network node and RIS according to the second communication parameters.

  • Publication number: 20250184767
Abstract: A method performed by an optimization node for optimizing network performance in a wireless communications network. The optimization node obtains measurement data related to the performance of the communications network. The measurement data comprises corresponding location information. A three-dimensional coverage map is generated based on the obtained measurement data that indicates the performance of the wireless communications network in the coverage map area. The optimization node detects, based on the generated coverage map, locations suffering from a degraded performance in relation to a performance requirement. The optimization node estimates a configuration for optimizing network performance, taking the performance requirement into account. The configuration comprises one or more parameters for restraining the influence of the performance degradation.

  • Publication number: 20250168842
Abstract: Handling communication resources allocated to one or more logical groups in a set of logical groups in a wireless communications network is provided. One or more wireless devices is associated to each logical group. A management node allocates a communication resource to each logical group in the set of logical groups. Each wireless device is associated to at least one logical group in the set of logical groups. Each logical group is associated with an operational process in the control facility. The management node monitors the allocated communication resource to perform the operational process associated with the respective logical group. The management node receives a first indication that is related to a first action performed by the controller node. The management node performs a second action taking the received first indication and the monitored communication resource into account to handle communication resources allocated to the one or more logical groups.

  • Publication number: 20240340661
Abstract: Embodiments herein may for example disclose a method performed by a transmitting node, such as a first network node, for handling communication between a control node and a device controlled by the control node. The control node and the device are configured for wired communication. The transmitting node receives one or more packets in a first format from the control node or the device over a wired connection. The transmitting node processes the one or more packets into a second format for communication over a wireless connection by using a transmission process for processing the one or more packets into the second format; and transmits the one or more packets in the second format over the wireless connection towards the device or the control node.

  • Patent number: 10707955
Abstract: A method performed by an intermediate unit of a distributed base station system of a wireless communication network. The distributed base station system has a first base unit and a second base unit connected to the intermediate unit. The intermediate unit is further connected to a first remote unit, which is further connected for distributing wireless signals to pieces of User Equipment (UEs). The intermediate unit receives, from the first base unit, first data and sends the first data over a point-to-point connection to the first remote unit for further distribution wirelessly over a radio channel to the UEs. In response to the reception of the first data, a first indication is sent to the second base unit that the radio channel is free. The second base unit can send second data that is then to be sent from the remote unit towards the UEs on the radio channel.

  • Patent number: 9144059
Abstract: A method and arrangement for enabling communication of data between a UE and a first base station in a cellular communication network further comprising the second base station, and the second base station is connected to the first base station via a communication interface. A scheduling request is received from the first base station. The scheduling request is based on a suggested scheduling which is determined by the first base station, and the suggested scheduling concerns the communication of data. Scheduling information is determined based on the scheduling request, and the scheduling information is transmitted to the UE. By determining a suggested scheduling in a micro base station, but transmitting scheduling information from an overlaying macro base station, local awareness of communication conditions may be applied, and interferences from neighboring micro base stations may be decreased.
