  • Patent number: 11721152
Abstract: A system may facilitate a distributed ledger technology (DLT) record based (for example, blockchain-based) ballot organization. A node configured to support an organizer role may generate a ballot that designates answers, and in some cases, conditions for valid vote-value transfers. The organizer may distribute vote-value to one or more voters. The voters may then commit portions (including null portions) of the received vote value to answers using committed tokens configured to bind the voter to a particular vote-value without divulging the particular vote value while in a cryptographic form.

  • Patent number: 11074775
Abstract: A system may facilitate distributed ledger technology (DLT) record based (for example, blockchain-based) voting. A voter may distribute vote-value to answers using committed tokens that bind the voter to a particular vote-value without divulging the particular vote value while in a cryptographic form. The voter may distribute committed tokens to multiple answers. In some cases, the distribution of the committed tokens to multiple answers may frustrate attempts to determine the one or more targets to which the voter delivers a non-null vote-value.

  • Patent number: 10388097
Abstract: A system may facilitate a distributed ledger technology (DLT) record based (for example, blockchain-based) auditing. A node configured to support an auditor role may access a ballot to determine answers and one or more voter transactions to determine committed tokens conferred to the answers. The auditor may access summation information for the committed tokens to facilitate comparison to a voter token acting as a source token for the committed tokens. Without necessarily gaining knowledge of the vote-value conferred by the individual committed tokens, the auditor may compare the committed tokens as a sum to the voter token and confirm that the sum of the committed tokens is consistent with the voter token. The auditor may generate an indication of the result of the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20190236879
Abstract: A system may facilitate distributed ledger technology (DLT) record based (for example, blockchain-based) voting. A node configured to support a voter role may access a DLT record to determine answers and/or parameters for a ballot. An organizer of the ballot may provide the voter with a voter token that confers vote-value to the voter. The voter may distribute the vote-value to the answers using committed tokens that bind the voter to a particular vote-value without divulging the particular vote value while in a cryptographic form. The voter may distribute committed tokens to multiple answers. In some cases, the distribution of the committed tokens to multiple answers may frustrate attempts to determine the one or more targets to which the voter delivers a non-null vote-value.
