  • Publication number: 20250105550
Abstract: A frame unit that interfaces a chicklet and a printed circuit board includes at least one fixing member that fixes the frame unit to a PCB, and an opening that accepts and holds a chicklet therein. The frame unit accepts a chicklet such that electrical connections are formed between the chicklet and the PCB beneath the frame unit. The edge of the opening can flex and/or make conductive electrical contact with the chicklet, and fixing member(s) can make electrical contact to the PCB. A frame strip is also described, which may include multiple frame units which can be separated from the frame strip. Frame units and frame strips can facilitate chicklet placement within strict tolerances.

  • Publication number: 20240339793
Abstract: The invention relates to a contact module for transmission of high-frequency signals, wherein the contact module comprises at least one electrically conductive contact element adapted for transmitting the high-frequency signals, a dielectric insulator at least sectionally surrounding the at least one contact element and an electrically conductive shielding housing at least sectionally surrounding the dielectric insulator with the at least one contact element inside, wherein the shielding housing is monolithically folded around the dielectric insulator. The invention further relates to a set comprising two such contact modules. The invention further concerns an electrical connector comprising at least one contact module and a connector housing. The contact module has an improved shielding performance, a simplified assembly and reduced number of components.

  • Publication number: 20240313465
Abstract: A contact carrier includes at least one contact element and a molded carrier body fixing the at least one contact element at a fixing section thereof, wherein the contact element comprises a contact section for contacting a mating contact element along a contacting direction, the contact section being elastically deflectable relative to the carrier body against the contacting direction, and a stopping section that rests in a pre-tensioned manner against a resting section on the carrier body. Further disclosed are a corresponding method and a corresponding apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20150038023
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a flat contact for insertion in a receiving member of a connector in an insertion direction (E), a receiving block for inserting the flat contact, and a connector comprising a receiving block and/or a flat contact. A solution is provided in which the positioning of a flat contact relative to the receiving block is simple and precise. This is achieved by a flat contact for insertion in a receiving member of a connector in an insertion direction (E) comprising a clamping portion having clamping projections which protrude in a width direction (B) and a positioning portion which has at the narrow sides thereof guiding faces which extend parallel with the insertion direction (E), the guiding faces projecting beyond the clamping projections in the width direction (B).
