    Abstract: A seat area has a form shaped by an elastic deformation of at least one flat blank (2) delimited by two concentric arches with a center angle from 10° to 170°, while their ends continue by tangents terminated by normal lines. An elastic deformation of the blank (2) into the shape of a seat area (1) is obtained by fastening the flat blank (2) in at least three points of a carrying structure (5). The seat area can be made as a molded piece, or of an elastic single-layer stuff, or of a sandwich-type material. The seat area has a maximum adaptability to the forms and dimensions of the user.
