Particularly described is a dental alloy comprising:1. 30 to 74 weight percent bismuth2. 19 to 69.9 weight percent tin3. EitherA. Silver in an amount of 0.1 to 5 weight percent; orB. Antimony in an amount of 0.1 to 7 weight percent; orC. Silver and antimony in a combined amount of 0.1 to 7 weight percent, the proportion of silver being not more than about 5% by weight.
