  • Publication number: 20220354359
Abstract: A modular access medical system configured to enable a surgeon to conduct a medical procedure in fluid contained within a defined space is disclosed. As such, the system increases visibility to an operating surgeon by eliminating smoke and other vapors formed during use of a medical instrument at the surgical site. The modular access medical system may be formed from a distal end of a cannula configured to be placed into contact with tissue such that fluid can be administered within the cannula and retained therein to facilitate a surgical procedure to be conducted via one or more instruments extending through fluid contained within the cannula.

  • Publication number: 20220330799
Abstract: A surgical camera system includes a camera with at least one sensor configured to capture image data comprising a first range of wavelengths and a second range of wavelengths. An excitation light source emits an excitation emission at an excitation wavelength. A controller is in communication with the at least one sensor of the camera. The controller is configured to process the image data from the at least one sensor and detect at least one fluorescent portion of the image data in response to a fluorescent emission generated by a fluorescent agent in the second range of wavelengths. The controller is further configured to generate enhanced image data demonstrating the at least one fluorescent portion of the surgical implement in the image data.

  • Publication number: 20080004659
Abstract: A method and device for knotless fixation of tissue. A swivel anchor having a rotatable forked anchor tip is used to capture suture, such as a suture chain, for surgical tissue repair without requiring suture knots. Tension on the repair constructs is adjustable through the selection of the specific chain link or links of the suture chain captured by the forked anchor tip of the swivel anchor.
