  • Patent number: 5304076
Abstract: An electrical contact for a lamp having at least one electrical jack employed in conjunction with lamp housing and an electrical conductor. The contact includes a body element possessing a first end portion, second end portion, and an intermediate turned or bent portion. The body element is constructed of flexible conductive material to permit bending of the first and second end portions relative to one another. A pair of flexible flanges extend from the first portion and serve to form a channel and to contact the lamp electrical jack. The flanges include at least one edge portion capable of scrapping the lamp electrical jack. The electrical conductor connects to the second end portion of the body element which is held to the lamp housing.

  • Patent number: 5011199
Abstract: A time-delayed mechanism obstructs movement of a latchbolt from its latched position to an unlatched position. Linkage coupled to the latchbolt, and manually acutated (by a push pad, or the like), includes an arm which normally pivots, with the manual actuation of the linkage. An initial, limited movement of the linkage activates a switch, and the latter activates a time delay circuit component. The latter component, following a specified time delay, interrupts power to a solenoid. The solenoid, normally powered, has a bar inductively movable therein with a rod joined thereto for coincident movement. An end of the rod carries a roller which intrudes into the pivotal arc of the arm, preventing full pivotable movement thereof. Consequently, the linkage, which is to move the latchbolt to its unlatched position is blocked until the time delay has run its course, whereupon the solenoid is de-energized.

  • Patent number: 4866215
Abstract: A cable management system for directing cables connected to the back of an equipment enclosure of the type containing a computer peripheral device or other electronics apparatus to enter and exit the equipment enclosure at a selected one of a plurality of predetermined orientations. A bottom cover of the equipment enclosure is provided with a recessed portion including a vertical wall upon which is mounted receptacles for receiving cable terminations. Upper stanchion portions at the rear of the recessed portion together with a hinged plate or with lower stanchion portions contacting the upper stanchion portions from the bottom form rear legs for the equipment enclosure. The rear legs and the vertical wall of the recessed portion confine cable entry and exit positions to particular angular segments corresponding to the sides and rear of the equipment enclosure.

  • Patent number: 4861276
Abstract: There is disclosed an improved adaptor for connecting a first connector to a data communications plug having at least one flange extending radially therefrom, comprising in combination a body, a first connector at the front end of the body, a well formed within the body and opening onto one of the body sides, a second connector within the well, a notched strain relief plate rotatably connected to one of the body sides of the body, and means for securing the strain relief plate in a closed position, which improved adaptor prevents, by the locking action of the strain relief plate and the flange, the withdrawal of the data communications plug when the plug is inserted into the well to a seated position.
