Abstract: One embodiment of a puzzle device comprising a current puzzle state represented by a modulo-M number of N digits, a set of N indicators each capable of indicating one digit of the current puzzle state, an array of N arithmetic and/or logical operations with each operation in the array corresponding to one of said set of indicators, and a control means of selecting one of said set of N indicators. When one of said set of N indicators is selected, its corresponding operation in the array of arithmetic and/or logical operations is selected, applied to the current puzzle state's modulo-M number of N digits, and the new current puzzle state indicated by said set of N indicators. The puzzle game may be played on a dedicated device or as part of a video game on a computer, mobile phone, or game console. Other embodiments are described and shown.

Abstract: A method for using a photon source, which includes a semiconductor structure having a first light emitting diode region, a second region including a quantum dot, a first voltage source, and a second voltage source, is provided. The method includes steps of applying an electric field across said first light emitting diode region to cause light emission by spontaneous emission, wherein the light emitted from said first light emitting diode region is absorbed in said second region and produces carriers to populate said quantum dot; and applying a tuneable electric field across said second region to control the emission energy of said quantum dot, wherein the light emitted from the second region exits said photon source.

Abstract: A high-volume foam spray gun assembly having a mixing section comprising a chamber bore, and a mixing chamber movingly disposed within the chamber bore. The mixing chamber further includes a first lateral orifice, a second lateral orifice, a central mixing bore, and a central mixing bore outlet. The spray gun assembly is operable to spray a foam product out of the spray tip at a rate of in the range of about 10 lbs/min to about 100 lbs/min. The first lateral orifice has a first lateral orifice diameter in the range of at least greater than 0.1 inches. Abstract: The invention relates to extracts produced from sugar cane processing stream products having desirable properties and health benefits. More particularly the invention relates to sugar cane derived extracts obtained from molasses, methods of producing the extracts, and uses of the extracts for management of insulin resistant conditions or subjects predisposed to such conditions, such as type 2 diabetes. The sugar cane derived extracts of the invention are enriched in polyphenols and the administration of the sugar cane derived extract regulates postprandial glucose response and insulin response and lowering those responses, to avoid the subject becoming hypoglycaemic.

Abstract: This invention relates to novel extracts from sugar cane and sugar beet molasses and the characterization of those extracts. The extracts are enriched in hydrophobic compounds including polyphenols, in levels 5 to 10 fold higher than found in molasses itself methods for extracting the extract are also described, together with new uses for the extracts as food ingredients, food modifiers and therapeutic substances.
