  • Patent number: 10361531
Abstract: The invention describes a light emitting semiconductor device (100) comprising a substrate (120), a light emitting layer structure (155) and an AlGaAs getter layer (190) for reducing an impurity in the light emitting layer structure (155), the light emitting layer structure (155) comprising an active layer (140) and layers of varying Aluminum content, wherein the growth conditions of the layers of the light emitting layer structure (155) comprising Aluminum are different in comparison to the growth conditions of the AlGaAs getter layer (190). The AlGaAs getter layer (190) enables a reduction of the concentration of impurities like Sulfur etc. in the gas phase of a deposition equipment or growth reactor. The reduction of such impurities reduces the probability of incorporation of the impurities in the light emitting layer structure (155) which may affect the lifetime of the light emitting semiconductor device (100).

  • Patent number: 9891062
Abstract: A navigation system may estimate a cruising range of a vehicle by performing a road network search. Digital map data that includes a set of road segments, where each road segment in the set can be associated with a hierarchy class and an elevation, may be retrieved. A road segment-specific weighting factor can be calculated for the road segments. The weighting factor can be calculated dependent on a distance of the specific road segment to a current location of the vehicle and on the elevation of the specific road segment. The road segments are selectively discarded by the navigation system based on the weighting factor and the associated hierarchy class to create a selected set of road segments. The road network search expands route links for the selected set of road segments based on an associated estimated energy consumption of the vehicle travelling along the route links.

  • Patent number: 9239243
Abstract: A vehicle navigation system having a database configured to store map data. The database includes links corresponding to road segments and attributes associated with the links. The map data includes at least some links associated with a curvature attribute. A mean absolute curvature ( ?) is stored for the curvature attribute for corresponding links. The mean absolute curvature ( ?) may be determined from a normalized sum or integral of absolute curvature values along the road segment corresponding to the link. The system includes a processing unit configured to estimate an energy consumption of the vehicle for a link using the curvature attribute retrieved from the database for the link.

  • Patent number: 7075018
Abstract: A method and device for mixing and weighing fibrous material in a weighing cycle includes removing the fibrous material from fiber bales and transporting the fiber material with a feed device into a weighing container. The weighing container is proceeded by a pre-filling chamber that is separated from the weighing container by a controllable flap. After the fibrous material has been weighed, the material is ejected from the weighing container onto a mixing belt. The material feed device is controlled in accordance with a theoretical weight curve that is given for each fibrous material component. Transport speed of the material feed device is varied in accordance with the theoretical weight curve.
