  • Patent number: 7016647
Abstract: A method and system for transferring data between at least one read/write device (RWD) and at least one mobile data memory (MDM). The mobile data memory (MDM) is preferably attached to an object for recording object-related status and/or process data, e.g. in a dispatch, transport and/or manufacturing system for the individual objects. According to the method, a difference in transfer time between the received data signals of a mobile data memory (MDM) and transmitted data signals of the read/write device (RWD) is determined in the read/write device (RWD) and the received data signals of the mobile data memory (MDM) are processed further in said read/write device (RWD) only if the difference in transfer time which has been determined lies within a predefined transfer time limit.

  • Patent number: 6944240
Abstract: A method and circuit for transmitting a data-modulated high-frequency data signal fC from a transmitter to a receiver, for transmitting data between a read-write device (RWD) and at least one mobile data memory (MDM) in an identification system that has a number of mobile data memories (MDM) which are placed on objects and which are provided for detecting object-specific status data and/or process data. Such an identification system is particularly useful, e.g., in a shipping, transport and/or manufacturing system of the individual objects. In addition to the transmitted high frequency data signal fC, a further high-frequency data signal fS is transmitted, which serves to convert the frequency and/or to modulate the carrier code of the high-frequency data signal fC.

  • Publication number: 20030002451
Abstract: A method for transferring data between at least one read/write device (RWD) and at least one mobile data memory (MDM) in an identification system, using at least one mobile data memory (MDM) that is attached to an object for recording object-related status and/or process data, e.g., in a dispatch, transport and/or manufacturing system for the individual items. According to the method, a time-slot structure for transferring data to the mobile data memory (MDM) is predetermined in the read/write device (RWD).

  • Patent number: 6404406
Abstract: An antenna includes antenna elements for transmitting and receiving signals. The antenna elements have a helical shape and are disposed parallel to one another. The antenna elements are individually connected in parallel to a common conductor surface and are capacitively coupled to a radio-frequency counterpoise via the common conductor surface.

  • Patent number: 5731762
Abstract: A data medium for identifying objects, in particular gas cylinders, includes a data source and an energy source. Each data medium contains at least one RF signal reflector having a characteristic frequency which can be controlled by the data source. The waveform of the characteristic frequency containing the individual identification of the data medium is in coded form. A scanning device for interrogation of the data medium and a process for controlling the data medium are also provided.
