  • Publication number: 20110276123
Abstract: This invention is directed to the design of radially expandable vascular stents to optimize hemodynamic flow characteristics that are favorable for the inhibition of stent-associated thrombosis, inflammation, and restenosis (neointimal formation) and that will reduce the risk of adverse events post-deployment.
    Type: Application
    Filed: November 25, 2008
    Publication date: November 10, 2011
Inventors: Peter F. Davies, Juan M. Jimenez
  • Publication number: 20040053294
Abstract: Differentially expressed genes and profiles of differentially expressed genes associated with hemodynamic shear stress in vivo in mammalian vasculature are provided. Methods for identifying such profiles and using these profiles to identify and target regions of the vasculature with anti-atherogenic therapies are provided. Also provided are methods of identifying agents which modulate a gene of the profile for use in preventing atherogenesis and treating atherosclerosis.

    Publication date: March 18, 2004
Inventors: Peter F. Davies, Denise C. Polacek
  • Patent number: 6399311
Abstract: Compositions, kits, and, methods for identifying genes, expression of which is spatially regulated in response to phenomena related to cellular hydrodynamic stress are disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 14, 2001
Date of Patent: June 4, 2002
Assignee: The Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania

  • Patent number: 4788068
Abstract: A food flavoring composition in aerosol form comprising a major amount of concentrate and a minor amount of a suitable propellant. The concentrate contains from 50 to 75% food grade oil, from 5-50% undissolved solids, an emulsifier with a HLB value of from 7 to 12 and substantially no moisture. The flavored product can be sprayed onto various foods such as popcorn for the needed flavor enhancement.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 10, 1986
Date of Patent: November 29, 1988
    Assignee: The Dial Corporation
Inventors: Gregory A. Konishi, Peter F. Davy
  • Patent number: 4126679
Abstract: A novel combination of powdered materials such as zirconium and aluminum salts suspended in a solid solution of volatile silicones and long chain alcohols. The silicones and alcohols are brought into solid solution by mixing the components in liquid phase at temperatures not to exceed 150.degree. F. (66.degree. C.). The addition of the powdered material to the silicone oil and alcohol matrix prevents the separation of the components upon cooling. This application is a continuation-in-part of Ser. No. 655,665, filed Feb. 5, 1976, now abandoned.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 6, 1977
Date of Patent: November 21, 1978
    Assignee: Armour-Dial, Inc.
Inventors: Peter F. Davy, Michael L. Drolet
