  • Patent number: 6488051
Abstract: The present invention provides a valve assembly, comprising a multiway valve (9) with a fitting surface (10) and a fluid manifold (7) with a mounting surface (8), wherein an opening of at least one branch channel lies opposite an opening of a respective channel of the multiway valve (9) in order to provide a fluid connection between the fluid manifold (7) and the multiway valve (9), and with an elastic sealing plate (1) with a plate-like body and through holes (2a-2e, 3a-3d) for the openings disposed between the mounting surface (8) and the fitting surface (10) and covering approximately completely the fitting surface (10) of the assigned multiway valve (9), wherein each through hole (2a-2e, 3a-3d) is surrounded by an annular sealing lip (4) formed on the elastic sealing plate (1), wherein the elastic sealing plate (1) is provided with an outer hygienic sealing profile (5) formed along the edge (6) on both sides of the sealing plate (1) in order to avoid a capillary entry of dirt and bacteria into the area be

  • Publication number: 20010047831
Abstract: The present invention is related to a multiway valve for controlling the fluid flow of a pressure medium comprising a main valve (1) with an inner substantially axial opening which has inner chambers connected with corresponding outer ports (2), wherein at least one valve spool is guided axially movable in said axial opening for switching the fluid flow between said ports (2), wherein the valve spool is driven by at least one pilot valve (3, 4) mounted on the outer surface of the main valve (1), characterized in that the at least one pilot valve (3, 4) is surrounded by a container arrangement (5, 6) wherein its form is adjusted to the form of the main valve (1) in order to provide a clean surface between the main valve (1) and the at least one pilot valve (3, 4).

  • Publication number: 20010022196
Abstract: A multiway valve for controlling the flow of a pressure medium from at least one delivery port to at least one exhaust port or supply port includes a valve housing with a substantially cylindrical axial bore with a plurality of annular steps forming inner chambers for connecting the ports. The multiway valve further includes a spool arrangement for switching the flow of the pressure medium. The spool arrangement includes two valve spools arranged coaxially and in tandem in the axial bore. The two valve spools are independently axially slidable within the axial bore. Each valve spool is associated with at least one driving piston for axially shifting the valve spool in response to a control pressure. A common exhaust chamber is arranged next to the inner ends of the valve spools in the center of the axial bore to provide a connection to the at least one exhaust port.
