  • Publication number: 20240382103
Abstract: A magnetic resonance tomography unit for localizing metallic objects and an operating method are provided. In one act of the method, an excitation pulse is used to excite nuclear spins in a region surrounding a compact metallic object. Magnetic resonance data is acquired with samplings along a plurality of trajectories, where the samplings take place using a bSSFP sequence, and the nuclear spins are dephased by a gradient. A position of a geometric focal point of the compact metallic object is ascertained based on a position of a visual focal point of acquired artifacts.

  • Publication number: 20240351276
Abstract: Methods of infiltrating a three-dimensional part with a resin are disclosed. The methods include designing a part to be printed, the part having at least one inlet and an infill pattern. The methods include using three-dimensional printing to print the designed part. The methods further include infiltrating the printed part using a resin delivered to an interior of the part via the at least one inlet to surround the infill pattern with the resin. The methods additionally include allowing the infiltrated resin to cure.

  • Patent number: 8221297
Abstract: A tool storage system stores tool holders for use in machine tools. The tool holders hold tools such as milling cutters, taps, drills, reamers, chamfering or deburring tools or the like. The tool holders may have standard taper-shanks. A receptacle is provided for each tool holder. The receptacles are arranged on a generally vertical array and hold the tool holders generally horizontally. The tool holders may be retained by engagement of a pull stud in the receptacle. The generally vertical array arrangement permits storing a large number of tools in a small footprint. In embodiments, a computer system provides functions for managing the tools and/or jobs in which the tools are used.

  • Patent number: 7134356
Abstract: The invention relates to a gear for conveyors which has a drive shaft to which a drive motor is to be fastened as well as an output shaft with which the gear is connected to the conveyor. However, at least one gear step is provided within the gear. Moreover, the gear is provided with a freewheel locking in one direction of rotation. A second gear step is provided in this case between the freewheel and the elements transmitting torque between drive and output shaft during normal operation, so that the freewheel should be operated at a higher speed and must only provide a low holding moment in the event of a stoppage.

  • Patent number: 5632625
Abstract: A coupling is described for conducting electrical signals between two members which are movably mounted to each other. The coupling uses a piece of compressed electrically conductive elastomer material to maintain physical and electrical contact between the two members. The coupling is well adapted for conveying low current analog or digital control signals. In a preferred form the coupling is a rotary coupling which has a drum mounted for rotation in a cavity in a housing. The outer surface of the drum and the inner surface of the cavity each have a number of circumferential electrically conductive rings aligned in pairs. A ring of electrically conductive elastomer material is compressed between each pair of rings. The coupling can be advantageously combined with a rotary coupling for hydraulic fluid. In the combined electric-hydraulic rotary coupling the electric portion of the coupling is flushed with hydraulic fluid.
