  • Publication number: 20130000892
Abstract: An assembly for monitoring load on a drum during an operation in a well with a well access line deployed from the drum. The assembly may include multiple line detection mechanisms for acquiring real-time information relative to dynamic characteristics of the lone over the course of the operation. The assembly also includes a processor for computing the real-time information in light of pre-stored information relative to physical characteristics of the line and the drum. As a result, real-time monitoring of a load on the drum may be achieved. Thus, the operation may be adjusted in real-time as necessary to avoid over- loading of the drum. Additionally, a drum load history may be recorded so as to better account for the true condition of the drum following successive operations.

  • Publication number: 20120186656
Abstract: A bicycle-mountable hydration system includes a first and a second bladder, each-configured to hold liquid, and a holder configured to be supported by a top bar of a bicycle. The holder has first and second outward-facing sides and first and second inward-facing sides. The holder includes a left portion that is configured to receive the first bladder at the first-inward-facing side and a right portion that is configured to receive the second bladder at the second inward-facing side and a middle portion connecting the left portion and the right portion. When the holder is supported by a top bar of a bicycle, the first-inward-facing side of the left portion faces the first-inward-facing side of the right portion. The middle portion may hang over the top bar of the bicycle to support the holder with the first bladder on an opposite side of the top bar from the second bladder. The system may be convertible to function as a hydration backpack when removed from the bicycle.

  • Publication number: 20120040378
Abstract: Carisoprodol is a centrally-acting prescription drug of known abuse. Upon ingestion it is rapidly metabolised to meprobamate, also a prescription drug with abuse potential. Current immunoassays are specific for carisoprodol and therefore have a short window of detection and, furthermore, are ineffective at detecting meprobamate. The current invention, underpinned by an antibody specific for meprobamate, overcomes these deficiencies.
