Abstract: An intelligent door lock system is coupled to a door at a dwelling. A first sensor is at the dwelling. The first sensor is coupled to a drive shaft of a lock device to assist in locking and unlocking a lock of a lock device at a door. The lock device is coupled to the first sensor and the lock device includes a bolt. An engine, an energy source and a memory are coupled together. A magnetic sensor provides a reading or measurement used to determine a door open or closed status.

Abstract: A wireless camera system. One or more wireless bridges include a computing device, an internet-facing radio, and a second radio, a first radio within communication range of the second radio of the wireless bridge, and a third internet-facing radio responsible for transmitting video. One or more cameras are provided. A motion detection device coupled to the one or more cameras. In a first step the motion detection device detects motion of an individual approaching a dwelling, and in a second step if the motion detector detects the approach then the camera is turned on in sufficient time to take a face or body picture of the individual.

Abstract: A button mechanism for effecting user inputs to an electronic device. The button mechanism includes a frame top that has a rigid frame portion; and flexible frame portion. The button mechanism further includes a device body that is oriented substantially parallel to the frame top and a button assembly that is situated between the device body and the frame top. The button assembly includes a contact portion that is operable to provide an electronic signal to control circuitry for the electronic device. The button assembly is affixed to an upper portion of the device body. The mechanism further includes a switch attached to the button assembly on the contact portion and a spring portion having a stepwise shape. The spring portion has an upper horizontal step portion and a lower horizontal step portion. The lower horizontal step portion of the spring is affixed to the button assembly.

Abstract: A device, a system, a method and a computer readable medium allowing a user to efficiently and easily add/remove or pair a processing device to a short distance wireless network is provided according to embodiments of the present invention. A user enters a PIN into a device. The device is then automatically paired to another device without any further user intervention to form a short distance wireless network in an embodiment of the present invention. A third party such as a manufacturer, reseller or telecommunication provider enables a processing device to be added to the short distance wireless network by generating a pairing message over the Internet or a SMS in an embodiment of the present invention. A user is able to know when a PIN code is invalid by a device performing error detection in another embodiment of the present invention. In still another embodiment of the present invention, the device also stores an error correction software component for correcting an erroneously inputted PIN.

Abstract: A system, a wireless hand-held device, and software component for accessing information responsive to short-range radio signals is provided. The system includes a wireless gateway device coupled to a network, such as a cellular network. The wireless gateway device includes a network manager software component for accessing information from the network responsive to a first short-range radio signal. The network may be a corporate, private or public network, such as the Internet. A first wireless device is coupled to the wireless gateway device. The first wireless device provides the first short-range radio signal. In an embodiment of the present invention, the first wireless device is a cellular telephone, personal digital assistant or thin terminal having a Bluetooth™ processor and transmitter. In an embodiment of the present invention, the network manager software component includes a plug and play software component for loading and executing software for the first wireless device.

Abstract: A system securely forming a short distance wireless network has a first device for generating a first signal including an identification symbol; and a second device for receiving the first signal over a wired data connection or proximity based wireless connection between the first and the second devices. Abstract: A mobile device comprising a first casing portion, a second casing portion comprising circuitry, first and second separated pivotable hinge portions connecting the first and second casing portions to allow the first casing portion to be hingedly openable and closable with respect to the second casing portion, and a fixed hinge portion interposed between the first and second pivotable hinge portions. The fixed hinge portion is formed with a cavity in which is mounted a mating connection suitably configured such that a hardware accessory adapted to increase mobile device functionality is coupleable therewith. The hardware accessory preferably has an independent processor which is automatically recognizable and configurable by a mobile device main processor when the hardware accessory is coupled with the fixed hinge portion. The mobile device is therefore operable when the hardware accessory is not coupled therewith.

Abstract: A method, among other methods, includes generating a short-range radio signal that indicates a type of a device in a short distance wireless network. A cellular signal is transmitted from the short distance wireless network to a cellular network that indicates the type of the device in the short distance wireless network. User information is obtained. A software component is then selected in response to the type of the device and the user information. A cellular signal from the cellular network is received that includes the software component to be used by the device in the short distance wireless network.

Abstract: A device, method, system and computer readable medium allows for a fast recovery of a communication connection in response to a newly assigned Wide Area Network (“WAN”) Internet protocol (“IP”) source address. In an embodiment of the present invention, a device provides communication between a WAN and a short distance wireless network. The device comprises a memory to store a first and a second WAN address for the device and a router software component. The processor and router software component transfers a first plurality of packets between the device and the wide area network using the first wide area network address. The processor and router software component discontinues the transfer of the first plurality of packets responsive to receiving the second wide area network address and transfers a second plurality of packets between the device and the wide area network using the second wide area network address.
