The plasticizer compositions are free of compatibilizer and may contain metal perchlorates and/or phenolic antioxidants and/or conventional plasticizers. The compositions are useful for reduced extraction and lower volatility of halogenated polymers containing the compositions. The plasticizer compositions give reduced extraction of at least 15%. A process for making the plasticizer compositions is also provided. A method of reduced plasticizer extraction from halogenated polymers, such as polyvinyl chloride, is further provided. The plasticizer compositions may be added to PVC resins in effective amounts ranging from 1 and 200 phr.
