Abstract: An impeller for a supercharger for an internal combustion engine and a supercharger incorporating such an impeller is disclosed. The impeller includes a molded upper part having a top wall defining a top opening. The top wall extends outwardly to a lateral edge and the top wall includes a plurality of vanes extending therefrom. The upper part is shaped to permit said upper part to be formed in a parting mold. A molded lower part is also provided which includes a bottom wall extending outwardly to a lateral side edge. The lower part has a plurality of radially extending vanes, and the lower part is shaped to permit said lower part to be formed in a parting mold. The upper and lower parts may be attached together to form a high speed molded impeller, which in turn is incorporated into a supercharger for an internal combustion engine.
