  • Publication number: 20230296460
Abstract: A component has an integrated sensor device for an optical, multi-axis measurement of a force applied to the component. The component includes a cavity and a first support element having one or more first optical elements and a second support element having one or more second optical elements. The first support element and the second support element are formed in the cavity and partially inserted into the component. A transmission device generates at least two beams in independent directions when connected to a power source. The beams pass through the cavity between the first optical elements and the second optical elements. The first optical elements and the second optical elements are adapted to generate information about a relative positional change of the first support element with respect to the second support element based on the at least two beams. The transmission device provides the information for measuring the force application.

  • Patent number: 10466120
Abstract: A machine element includes a sensor device for detecting mechanical stresses affecting a hollow cylindrical shaft section. The sensor device is arranged in the hollow cylindrical shaft section positively connected with axial pretension between a first radially inwardly protruding formation and a second radially inwardly protruding formation. The machine element can be produced by first forming a first radially inwardly protruding formation in the hollow shaft section of the machine element. In a subsequent sensor arrangement step, a sensor device is fitted positively in the hollow shaft section on the first radially inwardly protruding formation. Then the second radially inwardly projecting formation is produced in the hollow shaft section in a subsequent joining step. Thereby, the sensor device is joined positively with an axial pretension between the first radially inwardly protruding formation and the second inwardly protruding formation.

  • Patent number: 10144097
Abstract: A connection element consists of a longitudinally oriented support structure that is at least partially hollow and a sensor unit that is arranged in the inside of the support structure, is connected to a signal transmission device, and is non-positively connected to the support structure. The required force for the non-positive connection is produced by internal stresses after a plastic deformation of the support structure during a joining process of the support structure and the sensor unit. A method for manufacturing a connection element consisting of a support structure that is at least partially hollow and a sensor unit includes positioning the sensor unit in a region of the support structure and, using radially movable tool segments, exerting a force on the support structure in the radial direction and at the same time reducing the periphery of the support structure in the region in which the sensor unit is positioned.

  • Publication number: 20060165321
    Abstract: The invention relates to a profiled guiding element consisting of sheet metal for longitudinal guiding operations or pivoting guiding operations, comprising at least one guiding surface embodied thereon. The invention is characterised in that the profiled guiding element (1, 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f, 1g, 1h, 1i) comprises two projecting edge flanges (4, 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d, 4c, 4f, 4g, 4h, 4i) on a longitudinal edge (3, 3a), which are formed by profiling gaps in the longitudinal edge (3, 3a). At least one surface (3, 3a, 5, 5a, 6, 6a, 6b, 6c, 7, 7a, 7b, 7c, 7d, 7e) of the profiled guiding element (1, 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f, 1g, 1h, 1i) forms a guiding surface for at least one rolling or sliding body (2, 2a, 2b, 15).

  • Patent number: 5975633
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat with mutually movable side supports of seat components adjustable by an adjusting device. As the state of movement of the vehicle can be detected by a detecting device, allowing the adjuster to control at least one side support via an actuator in such a way that, during lateral acceleration during travel the seat user is automatically relieved of stress, a motor vehicle seat is provided which effects a dynamic seat adjustement for the user dependently upon the prevailing state of movement and thus makes him/her more comfortable.

  • Patent number: 5882060
Abstract: The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat with seat components (10, 12, 14) which are arranged so as to be movable relative to one another and which are adjustable by means of an adjusting device. Due to the fact that the movement state of the motor vehicle may be detected by means of a detection device, which causes the adjusting device to move, via individual actuators (22, 24, 26, 28, 30), at least one of the seat components (10, 12, 14) relative to the other seat components in such a way that, during the driving process, an alleviation of the load on the seat user occurs automatically, a motor vehicle seat is created which, in dependence on the respective state of motion, effects dynamic seat adjustment for the seat user and therefore alleviates the load on him.
