Abstract: Aspects of the invention include receiving, at an operating system executing on a processor, a write request from a program to write data to a memory. The write request includes a virtual memory address and the data. It is determined that the virtual memory address is not assigned to a physical memory address. Based on the determining, the unassigned virtual memory address is assigned to a physical memory address in an overflow memory. The data is written to the physical memory address in the overflow memory and an indication that the write data was successfully written is returned to the program. Future requests by the program to access the virtual memory address are directed to the physical memory address in the overflow memory.

Abstract: A workaround for smartphone manufacturers locking out certain uses of NFC technology is presented as a system for the completion of wireless credit card transactions using an auxiliary electronics module affixed to a personal digital assistant or smart phone wherein the electronics module is enabled with 2 types of wireless credit card transaction technologies. One of the technologies is NFC and the other is MST. The auxiliary electronics module is enabled to perform an NFC or an MST transactions based on the phones locked status and or the POS capability. Abstract: The present invention creates the world's first Digital Lampshade Display utilizing new lighting and display technologies such as Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED), Active-Matrix Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (AMOLED), Organic Light Emitting Transistors (OLET), and E-Ink, among others. The invention herein can emit light from both the exterior and interior surface(s) of its lampshade, and will provide the user with a display upon which digital images and non-static motion imagery may be viewed. The invention will further allow the user to download images and motion imagery onto its display lampshade, to change a room's decorative and aesthetic feel. The invention will further enable the user to use the Wireless Remote Control to control the lampshade's functions such as adjusting brightness and/or contrast, selecting images to display, etc. Thus the invention herein will give the user the ability to customize on-command the color, design, pattern, and illumination characteristics of their lampshade(s).
