  • Publication number: 20100031537
Abstract: An outsole (2) for a footwear, which prevents electrostatic discharges (ESD) from a person wearing the footwear to a device being handled, is substantially made of a flexible material (5) and comprises an electrically conductive connection from an upper surface (2a) of the outsole to a lower surface (2b) of the outsole. The electrically conductive connection consists of one or several electrically conductive fibers (4).

  • Patent number: 6822229
Abstract: A glow discharge source for the elemental analysis of solid samples of material by means of optical glow discharge spectroscopy (GD-OES) or glow discharge mass spectroscopy (GD-MS) or secondary neutral particle mass spectroscopy (SNMS), a glow discharge being produced by means of a connected electrical voltage source on the sample of material between the latter and an anode and evaluated spectrometrically, wherein a current transformer component for detecting the current flowing between the glow discharge and the voltage source is disposed at or in the anode or connected electrically with the anode.

  • Publication number: 20040043237
Abstract: Method for producing a flexible protection layer which can be incorporated in different body protecting products in order to prevent injuries caused by penetrating objects, such as nails, pointed weapons and the like. According to the method polymer fibres having a high breaking point are embedded in a hardenable binding material so that the binding material surrounds the fibres and upon hardening fixes the fibres in their positions. The method is characterized in that the fibres are embedded in the binding material in a mutually unarranged order, preferably felted together. The invention also relates to a flexible protection layer produced in accordance with the method and which can be incorporated in different body protecting products.

  • Publication number: 20030116706
Abstract: The invention relates to a glow discharge source for elemental analysis on solid material samples, which can be operated with a direct voltage, a pulsed direct voltage, or a HF voltage. The aim of the invention is to produce a glow discharge source for elemental analysis on solid material samples, whereby a glow discharge is generated between the material sample (4) and an anode (1), by means of a connected electrical voltage source (6), such that the blind current is minimised and the current flowing through the cooling water is not included in the measurement. Said aim is achieved, whereby a current transformer element (9), for recording the current flowing between the glow discharge (7) and the voltage source (6) is arranged in or on the anode (1), or the components electrically connected to the anode. The glow discharge source may be used for optical glow discharge spectroscopy (GD-OES), glow discharge mass spectroscopy (GD-MS), or secondary neutral mass spectroscopy (SNMS).

  • Patent number: 5287630
Abstract: A distance or position detecting device has a movable member forming a measuring ruler and a detector in the form of a primary coil and a plurality of secondary coils forming together a stationary member. The measuring ruler is movable coaxially inside a hollow core of the primary coil. The measuring ruler is made of a plurality of sections alternating with one another along the length of the ruler, whereby these sections have different discernible characteristics, for example, magnetic characteristics and nonmagnetic characteristics. The individual ruler sections are assembled along the length of the ruler in such a manner that a respective limited number of neighboring ruler sections are arranged in an encoded form so that the encoding provides an absolute position indication. Such a structure is simple and hence cost effective in any of its operational states. An accurate and absolute position indication is thus possible.
