  • Patent number: 6652560
Abstract: The invention describes a bone anchor 76 comprising a head region 94 and supporting legs 78 and a method for soft tissue-bone grafting using the said bone anchor 76. A hole 84 is drilled through cortical bone 82 forming a socket 70 in a cancellous bone 90, and the bone anchor 76 is inserted therein thereby trapping ligaments 88a and 88b between the radially outermost portion of the anchor 76 and the inside surface of the socket 70. An optional expansion peg (not shown) is inserted into a hole 86 within the bone anchor 76, thereby causing the proximal ends of the legs 70 of the bone anchor 76 to expand radially causing the ligaments 88a and 88b to closely abut the cancellous bone 90 thereby encouraging the grafting process.

  • Patent number: 4388718
Abstract: A digital telecommunication system has a plurality of 64 kbit/s channels subdivided into respective 56 kbit/s primary channels and 8 kbit/s auxiliary channels. Continuously from subscriber-to-subscriber, the 56 kbit/s primary channels serve respectively alternately for the transmission of pulse code modulated or delta modulated speech signals and/or rapid fixed image transmission or rapid data transmission, whereas the 8 kbit/s auxiliary channels are only available for the transmission or exchange-oriented signaling characters, slow fixed image transmission, slow data transmission from subscriber-to-subscriber, as well as for transmission of subscriber-to-subscriber control information and/or remote control and similar special service information.

  • Patent number: 4375098
Abstract: In a digital telecommunications system having common 64 kbit/s communications channels in which an additional 8 kbit/s signal channel lying outside of the respective 64 kbit/s common channel is available for outslot signaling only on partial segments of a connection line, for example, only on a subscriber extension circuit, the outslot signaling being carried out on the other connection segments in a subchannel of the 64 kbit/s common channel.

  • Patent number: 3940568
Abstract: A circuit arrangement for long distance telephone communication installations having a central apparatus comprising a central control unit and individual apparatus of different types; for example, internal connection sets, long distance line repeaters, exchange office repeaters in subscriber installations with extension stations, registers, dial receivers and the like. Correspondingly different information, for example dial impulse series, control criteria and the like are exchanged between the central control unit and the individual apparatus. Messages of different information content are transmitted by the same information signals by means of address information added to said signals. The address identifies a specific type of individual apparatus, and the evaluation of that address provides the correct interpretation of the information.
