  • Publication number: 20230234821
Abstract: Systems and apparatuses include a platform charger for use with a lift, such as an aerial work platform (AWP) or mobile elevating work platform (MEWP). The platform charger includes an elevated platform, a ramp extending away from a first end of the platform, a battery, and an induction coil. The induction coil is received within the platform and positioned near an upper surface of the platform. The induction coil is configured to receive electricity from an energy source and generate a magnetic field that extends substantially upwardly, through the platform to objects positioned on the platform. The induction coil is also configured to act as an antenna, such that if the induction coil is positioned within an magnetic field, a current will be induced in the induction coil that can be used to recharge a battery associated with the platform charger.

  • Patent number: 11530551
Abstract: An expandable tent structure with a side wall of mesh or fabric enclosing an internal volume of the tent. The tent has one or more openings in the roof and/or side walls of the tent, and a hatch pivotally attached to the tent. The hatch in one position covers an opening in the roof and/or side wall, and a mesh or fabric structure extends in an accordion-like manner between the hatch and edges of the opening. A plurality of ribs support the mesh or fabric, the ribs being pivotally attached to the tent supporting structure. When the hatch is in its open position, the internal volume of the tent is increased, with the mesh or fabric attached to the hatch and the edges of the opening providing a barrier over the opening against the environment.

Abstract: An expandable tent structure with one or more side walls made of mesh or fabric enclosing an internal volume of the tent. The tent has one or more openings in the roof and/or side walls of the tent, and a hatch pivotally attached at one end of the hatch to the tent. The hatch in one position covers an opening in the roof and/or side wall of the tent, and a mesh or fabric structure extends in an accordion-like manner between the hatch and three edges of the opening. A plurality of ribs support the mesh or fabric structure, the ribs being pivotally attached to the supporting structure of the tent. When the hatch is in its open position, the internal volume of the tent is substantially increased, with the mesh or fabric material attached to the hatch and the edges of the opening providing a barrier over the opening against weather, debris, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20210039935
Abstract: A vehicle system includes a controller. The controller is configured to be communicably coupled to a plurality of actuators of a vehicle that facilitate repositioning a plurality of tractive elements coupled to a chassis of the vehicle. The controller is configured to (i) control the plurality of actuators to selectively reposition each of the plurality of tractive elements through a range of motion to attempt to maintain the chassis level and (ii) drive each of the plurality of actuators toward a mid-stroke position while continuing to attempt to maintain the chassis level and while the vehicle is moving.

  • Patent number: 10888100
Abstract: A method for preparing a modified whey protein concentrate (WPC) or whey protein isolate (WPI) is described. It involves (a) providing an aqueous WPC or WPI solution having a protein concentration of 15-50% (w/v), at a pH of 4.7-8.5; (b) heat treating the solution to more than 50 DEG C, for a time that allows protein denaturation to occur the heat treating comprising heating the solution while under conditions of turbulent flow. At the end of the heat treatment, the heat treated material may be promptly transferred to a drier or to be mixed with other ingredients. The heat-treated WPC or WPI is not subjected to a mechanical shear process prior to the transfer other than where liquid is converted into droplets to facilitate drying. The modified WPC is useful in the manufacture of food and drinks where a high protein content is desired without undesirable changes in texture.
