Publication number: 20230410000Abstract: The present invention discloses an advance study, with aim to investigate how organizations can effectively manage individual and team ethical behaviors—exemplified by bees and ants—while avoiding unethical ones—as exemplified by leeches. To this purpose, the impact of behavioral and emotional traits on group performance are measured, with a focus on the role of ethical behaviors in determining real-world success. Based on three different contexts, the findings indicate that exhibiting moral values, being fair, being open to others and new things, and caring for others, correlate positively or negatively with success depending on the tasks. This study also contributes to the theories and practice of ethical decision-making by proposing the adoption of a new methodology based on computational social science that links ethical behaviors with business outcomes. The limited sample of individuals represents the main limitation of the study.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2022Publication date: December 21, 2023Inventor: Peter A. Gloor

Publication number: 20070276775Abstract: A system is provided that takes as input the interrelationships which are observed between identified resources, and automatically generates interactive movies that depict a visualization of the of the interaction patterns among the identified resources. Each resource is represented as a dot. A line between two dots indicates a relationship. The closer the two dots are placed together, the more intensive is their relationship, that is, the more commonality or interaction those resources share. Further, the most active resources, namely the resources that have the most relational links or lines extending therefrom, are placed in the center of the network. Once the visualization movie has been built, a user can search for groupings of related resources by simply searching for and identifying the various clusters within the network.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 7, 2007Publication date: November 29, 2007Applicant: IQUEST GLOBAL CONSULTING, LLCInventor: Peter Gloor

Publication number: 20070214137Abstract: A method and system is disclosed for producing a combined analysis and visualization that calculates both the ties between actors based on a weighted average of the number of messages exchanged and the weighted number of common terms in the messages exchanged. In addition, another link is calculated based on the number of common terms collected from all of the messages sent by either of the two actors to or from any other actor. Within this framework, a link weight is defined ranging from 0 to 1 and a term weight is inversely defined ranging from 1 to 0. As this weighting value is changed, the visualization is dynamically shifted between placing emphasis on common communication links or common terms.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 6, 2007Publication date: September 13, 2007Inventor: Peter A. Gloor
