  • Publication number: 20240189760
Abstract: A system for recovering methane from a biogas comprises a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) unit, a biogas inlet, a gas mixer and a surge tank. The PSA unit recovers methane from the biogas and directs one fraction of the recovered methane toward a product gas outlet. The PSA unit directs another fraction of the recovered methane toward a recycling line and directs remaining gases to an exhaust. The biogas inlet receives biogas from a biogas source. The gas mixer is fluidly connected to the biogas inlet, to the recycling line and to the PSA unit, forms a combination of the biogas received at the biogas inlet and of the recycled methane, and supplies the combination to the PSA unit for methane recovery. The surge tank is in one of the recycling line or in an exhaust line and reduces a pressure in the PSA unit to improve methane recovery efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20240116697
Abstract: A proppant discharge system has a container with an outlet formed at a bottom thereof and a gate slidably affixed at the outlet so as to be movable between a first position covering the outlet and a second position opening the outlet, and a support structure having an actuator thereon. The container is removably positioned on the top surface of the support structure. The actuator is engageable with gate so as to move the gate from the first position to the second position. A conveyor underlies the container so as to receive proppant as discharged from the container through the outlet. The actuator and conveyor can be controlled remotely.

  • Patent number: 9764277
Abstract: A method of obtaining purified hydrogen and purified carbon monoxide from crude synthesis gas. A first crude synthesis gas stream is passed through a first separation zone to separate a hydrogen stream from a stream comprising carbon monoxide and methane. The carbon monoxide and methane are subjected to thermal reforming to produce a second crude synthesis gas, which is passed through a second separation zone to separate carbon monoxide from the second crude synthesis gas stream.
