  • Patent number: 9887508
Abstract: A method for electrically conductively connecting the electrical conductors (3, 4) of two high voltage cables (1, 2) is provided. The conductors (3, 4) are exposed at their ends by removing the respective casing and they are then inserted from different sides into a pipe piece (5) in such a way that they rest against each other with their end faces extending perpendicular to their axis and level with the central throughholes. The conductors (3, 4) are then secured by means of the securing screws (6) in the pipe piece 5 and bores extending in radial direction are made through the throughholes into which the two conductors (3, 4) project in the area of their end faces. Finally, the contact screws of an electrically well conductive metal are screwed into the central throughholes and further into the bores.

  • Patent number: 8317443
Abstract: A shear screw has predetermined breaking points in two planes, separated axially from one another, and it has centrally a blind hole extending over a substantial length and having a cross section which is suitable for transmitting a torque to the shear screw by means of a pin-like tool of adapted dimensions which can be inserted into the blind hole. The blind hole extends to about level with the predetermined breaking point which is arranged in the lower region, facing the end face of the shear screw, of the latter and has a strength greater than that of the other predetermined breaking point.

  • Patent number: 8267730
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for connecting two electrical conductors (4, 5), comprising a metallic clamp (1) that is designed as a pipe section and that comprises in the wall thereof at least two through holes provided with a thread for receiving clamping screws (2) provided with an external thread. In the pipe section of the clamp (1), at least one central through hole provided with a thread is furnished between the two through holes in order to receive a fixing screw (3) provided with an external thread, wherein the fixing screw has a tapered, approximately wedge-shaped tip (11), which, in the assembled position, lies rigidly against the end faces of the two conductors (4, 5) inserted into the pipe section. The tip (11) provided with an external thread is screwed into a hole (10) of the fixing screw (3) provided with an internal thread, and the external thread of the tip (1) runs opposite to the external thread of the fixing screw (3).
