  • Patent number: 7143955
Abstract: A fuel injection apparatus having at least one solenoid valve for controlling the fuel injection that is contained in a housing part and a solenoid assembly having a magnetic coil and a magnet armature inserted into a recess of the housing part. A cover piece that can be attached to the housing part fixes the solenoid assembly in the housing part. A spring element is disposed between the cover piece and the solenoid assembly and clamps the solenoid assembly in the housing part. At least one securing element is formed onto the spring element and is of one piece with it, which secures the spring element to the housing part and secures the solenoid assembly in the recess of the housing part without the cover piece being attached to the housing part.

  • Patent number: 7090151
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for actuating a control piston or nozzle needle (27) via a control chamber (26). The control chamber communicates via a control chamber line (25) with valve chambers (3, 22) of a 3/2-way valve (5). The valve body (6, 40, 51) of this valve is switchable by means of an actuator (11). By means of a restoring spring (14), the valve body (6, 40, 51) is acted upon such that a seat portion (7), embodied in the housing (4) on the valve body (6, 40, 51), is put into its valve seat (20). The valve body (6, 40, 51) of the 3/2-way valve (5) has a seat portion (7) and a longitudinal slide portion (8), as well as hydraulic faces (31,32), facing one another, that make the state of pressure equilibrium of the valve body (6, 40, 51) possible. The valve body (6, 40, 51) is moved to different stroke lengths (10; 23, 24) by means of an actuator (11).

Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel injector for internal combustion engines, having a control valve with an electromagnetically actuatable valve needle; a coil is received in a magnet cup made of magnetizable material. At least one clamping sleeve, with a gaplike opening extending between the face ends of the clamping sleeve, is received in the magnet cup. The invention also relates to a method for producing the fuel injector.

  • Patent number: 6892955
Abstract: There is disclose a high-pressure fuel pump and a fuel injection valve connected to it for each cylinder of an internal combustion engine. A pump piston of the pump delimits a working chamber connected to a pressure chamber of the injection valve having a valve element controlling injection openings and movable in an opening direction counter to closing force by pressure prevailing in the pressure chamber. A control valve controls connection of a control pressure chamber with the pump-working chamber delimited by a control piston to a relief chamber. When the injection valve element is closed, the control piston opens a main connection with a large flow cross section and when the injection valve element is open, this control piston closes the main connection, only opening a bypass connection with small flow cross section, the bypass connection is embodied in a housing part delimiting the control pressure chamber.

  • Publication number: 20040144366
Abstract: The fuel injection apparatus has a high-pressure fuel pump (10) and a fuel injection valve (12) connected to it for each cylinder of the internal combustion engine. A pump piston (18) of the high-pressure fuel pump (10) delimits a pump working chamber (22), which is connected to a pressure chamber (40) of the fuel injection valve (12), which has a injection valve element (28) that can control injection openings (32) and can be moved in an opening direction (29) counter to a closing force by the pressure prevailing in the pressure chamber (40). A control valve (70) controls a connection (64) of a control pressure chamber (52), which communicates with the pump working chamber (22) and is delimited by a control piston (50), to a relief chamber (24).

  • Patent number: 6763809
Abstract: The fuel injection apparatus has a high-pressure fuel pump and a fuel injection valve connected to it for each cylinder of the engine. The high-pressure fuel pump has a pump piston, which is driven in a stroke motion by the engine and defines a pump working chamber, which is connected by means of a line to a pressure chamber of the fuel injection valve that is disposed separate from the high-pressure fuel pump in the engine and has an injection valve member, which is used to control at least one injection opening and can be moved by the pressure prevailing in the pressure chamber in an opening direction, counter to a closing force, in order to unblock the at least one injection opening. An electrically actuated control valve is provided in the fuel injection valve and at least indirectly controls a connection of the pump working chamber to a relief chamber, which can store pressurized fuel diverted by the control valve when this valve is open.

  • Patent number: 5936842
Abstract: The invention takes as its departure point a housing (10) for receiving electric drives (16, 18, 20), in particular garage-door drives, and/or the controls (24, 26) thereof, which housing exhibits at least two housing parts (12, 14). Provision is made on the housing parts for a latching device (34, 52, 68, 110) and guide elements (108, 112) for the reliable connection of the housing parts (12, 14) and for latching-in and retaining functional components (22, 28, 78) and/or circuit boards (24, 26) for the controls. Consequently, a structure with few individual parts and simple mounting and demounting is achieved.
