  • Publication number: 20130323542
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an electrochemical cell based on lithium technology, comprising the following components: a positive electrode containing a cathode material, a separator made of an electrically insulating material, a negative a electrode containing an anode material, the electrodes and the separator having layer or sheet form, a liquid and/or solid ion conductor material for transportation of lithium ions between the positive and the negative electrode, the said components being sealed within a casing, wherein the positive and the negative electrode each comprise an electrically conducting structure extending through a wall of the casing for further electrical connection, characterized in that it further comprises: a reference electrode within the said casing which is electrically insulated from the positive and the negative electrode, the reference electrode having layer or sheet form comprising at least one non-metallic lithium compound, and an electrically conducting structure in layer

  • Publication number: 20120094176
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrode layer composite for forming planar electrodes (1, 2) in electrochemical storage elements, wherein the electrode layer composite comprises at least one first layer (6, 8) containing electrode material and one second layer (7, 9) containing electrode material, wherein the first layer (6, 8) has a higher energy density (specific or area capacity) than the second layer (7, 9), while the second layer (7, 9) has a higher power density (current carrying capability) per unit area than the first layer (6, 8).

  • Publication number: 20110262798
Abstract: The invention relates to an improved electrochemical construction or storage element for storing and discharging electric energy, characterized by a reduction or the prevention of a formation of magnetic stray fields. For this purpose the element has at least two electrochemical cells comprising the typical components. Said cells are disposed relative to each other such that a tag (12a) of a cell (20a), said tag being connected to the cathode accumulator, is positioned relative to a tag (12b) of an adjacent cell (20b) connected to the anode accumulator such that magnetic fields generated by moving electric charges in the tags (13a, 12b) overlap and substantially compensate each other.

  • Publication number: 20030180610
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrochemically activable layer or film for use in electrochemical components. Said layer or film comprises a textile fabric and a substance which is located at least in the intermediate spaces in said textile fabric, consisting of at least one matrix containing or consisting of an organic polymer, precursors thereof or prepolymers thereof and an electrochemically activable inorganic material which is insoluble in the matrix, in the form of a solid substance. The invention also relates to layered composites and to rechargeable electrochemical cells which are constructed with layers or films of this type, and to a number of methods for producing said layers or films.

  • Patent number: 4838994
Abstract: A copper and/or permalloy layer is structured by means of dry etching. A layer of tantalum is applied as a mask to a layer to be structured, and a photoresist layer is applied to the tantalum layer. Subsequently, the structure of the photoresist layer generated in a photolithographic manner is transferred onto the mask by reactive ion etching. This procedure is continued until the copper or permalloy layer to be structured is exposed. The structuring of the copper or permalloy layer then occurs by ion beam etching.
