  • Patent number: 7801465
Abstract: An ink carrier oil and water are separated from condensate. One embodiment includes first and second chambers for the separation. The first chamber receives the condensate and has an upper discharge outlet and a lower discharge outlet. The second chamber has an inlet connected to the lower outlet and a second chamber outlet below the upper discharge outlet such that separated carrier oil is discharged through the upper outlet. Separated water is discharged through the second chamber outlet. An interface between the separated carrier oil and water extends between the upper discharge outlet and the lower discharge outlet. In another embodiment, the carrier oil includes at least one of a high molecular weight oil, a lubricating oil and a defoamer. An additive having a lower concentration of the at least one of the high molecular weight oil, the lubricating oil and the defoamer is added to the carrier oil.

  • Patent number: 6665166
Abstract: Systems and methods for protecting electronic devices from electrostatic discharge are provided. A preferred system includes a module configured to be received by an enclosure. The module incorporates an electronic component, such as a memory device, processor, and/or circuit assembly, for example, that is configured to electrically communicate with at least a portion of the enclosure when the module is received by the enclosure. The module also includes a first contact portion that is arranged to contact the enclosure as the module is received by the enclosure. Preferably, the first contact portion is formed, at least partially, of a dissipative material. So configured, when the first contact portion engages the enclosure, an electrostatic charge of the module may be discharged in a controlled manner. Methods also are provided.

  • Patent number: 5641154
Abstract: A system for providing a hard copy machine with a variety of cut sheet media trays having differing sheet stack capacities is demonstrated. A tray selector mechanism is provided in the media tray docking bay of the hard copy machine. Each tray is provided with sheet separating and picking devices and an interface coupling for engaging the tray devices to the tray selector mechanism. In the exemplary embodiment, a full height tray, that is one which occupies the entire docking bay, allows a maximum capacity of a single media type to be loaded for use in making hard copies. A number of smaller, lesser capacity trays can be substituted for the full height tray in the docking bay, each having a different media type. The tray selector mechanism is then operative to select between the lesser capacity trays on end user demand. A default position of the tray selector mechanism is provided.
