Abstract: Systems and methods for monitoring integrity of image sensing devices are disclosed. The method may include: obtaining a characterized noise pattern of an image sensing device; determining whether an image generated by the image sensing device is misaligned with an actual scene based on the characterized noise pattern of the image sensing device; in response to the image being determined to be misaligned with the actual scene, discarding or re-aligning the image; and in response to the image being determined to be aligned with the actual scene, presenting the image to a user.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a video merged from two independent video sources to a display is disclosed. The system and method includes receiving an enhanced vision video from an enhanced vision system, receiving a synthetic vision video from a synthetic vision system and selecting an enhanced frame in the enhanced vision video. The system and method also includes selecting a synthetic frame from the synthetic vision video corresponding to the selected enhanced frame, analyzing the enhanced frame to detect objects according to a first algorithm, analyzing the synthetic frame to detect default frame segments, merging the enhanced frame and the synthetic frame to provide a merged frame that includes detected objects and detected default frame segments and displaying the merged frame on a display.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling display characteristics is disclosed. The system and method includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory configured to execute instructions stored in the memory to detect video input from a sensor, receive a control signal from a user and use the input control signal to alter a level of pixel intensity in a video output. The system and method for controlling display characteristics also includes altering the video input into the video output according to an algorithm and displaying the video output signal with an altered level of pixel intensity.

Abstract: A scene imaging system (SIS) for providing an enhanced image with embedded symbology. The SIS includes an image sensor assembly for receiving a real-world image and providing a sensed image containing raw image sensor assembly data. An image processing system receives and processes the sensed image and manufacturing tolerance/aircraft installation information. The image processing system provides an image processing system output containing a sensed image with embedded symbology. A database maintains the manufacturing tolerance/aircraft installation information. An output interface element is operatively connected to the image processing system for receiving the processor output for use by a computer for a display.
