  • Publication number: 20080173822
Abstract: A direct radiation converter module and a direct radiation converter are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the direct radiation converter module includes a direct converter layer, provided with a metal layer, for converting radiation absorbed therein into electrical charge. For protection and passivation, the surface, of the metal layer and of the direct conversion layer, is coated at least partially with a protective layer made from parylene.

  • Publication number: 20070278412
Abstract: An X-ray detector is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the X-ray detector includes a detector housing including a plurality of detector modules that extend into an interior space of the detector housing, the detector housing being designed to feed a coolant into the interior space. In order to cool the detector modules, in at least one embodiment the latter are respectively arranged on a hollow module carrier forming a cooling channel, it being possible for coolant to flow through the cooling channel during operation.

  • Patent number: 7288769
Abstract: A protective layer is provided for an image detector used for an x-ray image. This image detector comprises a layer of luminescent material that is to be protected against mechanical stress and moisture. A polymeric protective layer is disposed thereupon and is hardened exclusively in an area which does not border the layer of luminescent material. The hardened area provides protection against mechanical stress while the remaining area forms a moisture barrier. An appertaining method is provided for producing a polymeric protective layer on an image detector for an x-ray image, which is provided with a layer of luminescent material. The protective layer is deposited on the layer of luminescent material and then is hardened only in an area which does not border the layer of luminescent material.

  • Patent number: 7250613
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for capturing ionizing radiation, in which a substrate which is provided with a phosphor layer is accommodated in a housing. To simplify the device and to ensure a high light yield, the invention provides that a means for buffering the atmospheric humidity is accommodated in the housing.

  • Publication number: 20060200976
Abstract: A tool for the ESD-safeguarded mounting of a detector module is disclosed. The tool includes an accommodating element for accommodating at least one module plug of the detector module, in which case it is possible, when the module plug is accommodated, for an electrostatic charge on the detector module to flow away by way of an electrical connection between the module plug and an ESD-safeguarded operator actuating the tool. As such, it is not necessary to intentionally touch module-side contact-making devices of the module plug, and/or the risk of damage to the signal-processing electronics, which are to be brought into contact with the detector module, as a result of overvoltages is avoided.

  • Publication number: 20060180769
Abstract: An adapter is disclosed for a detector including a plurality of detector modules. A method is further disclosed for carrying out faultfinding on the detector including such an adapter. It is possible for an electrical cross-connection to be produced between at least one first detector module and a second slot on a printed circuit board, and between a second detector module and a first slot of the printed circuit board by use of the adapter. The adapter makes possible simple and rapid faultfinding of a defective component of the detector by way of a first and a second measurement, in which measurements a position of the faulty output signal is determined.
