Abstract: The present invention resides in a reconfigurable antenna. The antenna comprises a balanced antenna and an unbalanced antenna mounted on a supporting substrate, with both the balanced antenna and the unbalanced antenna located at the same end of the substrate. The antenna may be configured as a chassis antenna for use in a portable device or configured for Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) applications.

Abstract: An inlet assembly for a turboprop engine system is provided. The inlet assembly includes an inlet plenum defining first inlet configured to receive air from the atmosphere; an expansion plenum coupled to the inlet plenum and configured to receive the air from the inlet plenum, the inlet plenum and the expansion plenum defining a flow path for the air with a bend of at least 90°; and a second inlet coupled to the expansion plenum and configured to receive the air from the expansion plenum.

Abstract: A system may include one or more camera modules each containing one or more image sensors. The system may be configured to capture images from light spectra outside the visible band. Therefore, the pixel integration times, and frame rates of the one or more image sensors may be unique and distinct. An image sensor may respond to a trigger control signal by beginning integration of a subset of pixels some duration after an appropriate trigger control signal transitions from low to high. The image sensor may output the frame captured by the pixels a predetermined duration after the trigger control signal transitions, to ensure a deterministic response. Pixels used to generate the image of a subsequent frame may begin integrating during the readout of the current frame. The pixels may be integrated for exactly their programmed integration time, even when the frame rate is varied.

Abstract: A system architecture allows for the transmission of multiple HDCP encrypted audio/video streams over a single unified cable to multiple receivers using a daisy chain topology. Each individual audio/video stream is first encrypted and then combined into a uniform stream, and the uniform stream is transmitted to each of the receivers. Each receiver contains a decryption engine that operates independently of the engines in the other receivers, therefore allowing each receiver to select to a unique channel and decrypt and display one of the audio/video streams.

Abstract: An apparatus, method and system is disclosed for a pilot light ignition system. In one embodiment, the apparatus includes: (1) a fluid powered linear actuator and (2) a trigger member, wherein the linear actuator is configured to move the trigger member to triggering a spark generating mechanism to generate a spark for igniting a pilot light. The pilot light ignition system may be for use with, for example, a crude oil burner or gas flare.

Abstract: A human-perspective stereoscopic camera is an apparatus that is used to capture stereoscopic viewing material that is from the perspective of one person's eyes. The apparatus mainly comprises a left telescopic tube, a right telescopic tube, a translational pivoting mount, a lateral movement mechanism, and a platform with a channel as a support structure. The left telescopic tube and the right telescopic tube each comprise a first cylinder, a second cylinder, and an optics assembly. The first cylinder and the second cylinder are the means for the telescopic movement. The optics assembly comprises a lens, a digital single-lens reflex camera, a camera mount, a plate, and a pole. The configuration for the components of the optics assembly allows the left telescopic tube and the right telescopic tube to capture stereoscopic viewing material from the perspective of one person's eyes.

Abstract: A fault current limiter (FCL) includes at least one magnetisable core member and at least one AC magnetomotive force source configured to generate a varying magnetic flux in at least a portion of the at least one magnetisable core member. At least one static magnetomotive force source is positioned to provide a magnetic circuit within at least part of the at least one magnetisable core member and the AC magnetomotive force source and the static magnetomotive force source are relatively positioned to be orthogonal to each other. Typically the static magnetomotive force source may be a permanent magnet and the AC magnetomotive force source configured to generate a varying magnetic flux in both of first and second spaced core members.

Abstract: A reconfigurable multi-output antenna (16) is disclosed comprising: one or more radiating elements (12, 14), at least two matching circuits (42, 44, 50, 52) coupled to the or each radiating element (12, 14) via e.g. a splitter (30, 32) or a diplxer; and wherein each matching circuit (42, 44, 50, 52) is associated with a separate port (38, 40, 46, 48) arranged to drive a separate resonant frequency so that the or each radiating element (12, 14) is operable to provide multiple outputs simultaneously. The resonant frequency of each output is independently controllable by each matching circuit, with good isolation with each other port, thereby offering very wide operating frequency range with simultaneous multi-independent output operations. Also described is a multi-output antenna control module for coupling to one or more radiating elements, an antenna structure and an antenna interface module.

In the most preferred embodiment, the container comprises a dispenser for fuel additives which comprises a novel design of dispensing nozzle, comprising a tube (5) adapted to fit the fuel tank of a petrol engine and a moveable sleeve (8) of greater diameter than the tube and adapted to fit the fuel tank of a diesel engine, this sleeve being positioned around the tube such that it can be moved to a position at the dispensing end of the tube which prevents the nozzle from being inserted into the fuel tank of a petrol engine.

Abstract: An IS-4 terminal connector assembly includes three terminal electrodes positioned over an inner tubular member such that they are radially offset from one another. Each of the terminal ring electrodes are configured such that they can withstand both tensile and cyclical bending loads with minimal compromise in their outer geometry. Additionally, each of the terminal electrodes is configured such that they have both an inner and outer geometry that facilitates adequate insulation between a select terminal electrode and an adjacent conductor. Additionally, each of the terminal ring electrodes is configured such that they facilitate an external approach to staking a cable conductor.

Abstract: The invention relates to a balanced antenna system comprising a radiator connected via a matching circuit to a balun. In certain embodiments, the radiator comprises a first radiating element and a second radiating element and the matching circuit comprises a first impedance-matching circuit connected to the first radiating element and a second impedance-matching circuit connected to the second radiating element. The first and second matching circuits may be identical and are connected through the balun to a single port. To minimise the component count, the design of the matching circuit and balun is co-optimised.
