Patent number: 11833870Abstract: The invention comprises a seating plate including a concentric swivel leveler to be used for leveling a trailer on an uneven ground surface by inserting a connected trailer jack into the swivel and establishing a stationary position wherein the trailer is substantially level. In certain embodiments, a spacer is also provided with a receiving well for the swivel such that a height of the seating plate above the ground surface is increased such that the trailer jack need not be extended as far as it would but for the spacer. A spacer may be of durable material and includes reinforcing support members help support large loads. In certain embodiments, the swivel may be fastened to the spacer using nuts, bolts and the like so the swivel may swivel about the receiving well while the seating plate maintains a height above the space top to allow for the swiveling action.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2021Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: ROBUST ACCLAIM LIMITEDInventors: Alastair Peter Hancock, Nicholas Paul David Jones, Glenn Dylan Catchpole, Andrew Nathan Beck, Wayne Brendon Morris

Patent number: 7711619Abstract: A graphical user interface for guiding a user through the planning of an income stream includes one or more user input fields for receiving data from the user, where the data relates to user preferences regarding the income stream. Additionally, the graphical user interface includes at least one graph region for graphically displaying to the user the likelihood that the user will achieve a desired outcome based on the data provided to the user input fields. The graphical user interface thus assists the user in making informed decisions regarding his or her retirement goals and the necessary investments he or she must make in order to meet those goals.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2006Date of Patent: May 4, 2010Assignee: Integrated Finance LimitedInventors: Robert Merton, Roberto Mendoza, Peter Hancock, Zvi Bodie

Patent number: 7647261Abstract: Embodiments of the invention generally provide a method and apparatus for retirement income planning. One embodiment of a method for planning an income stream includes receiving personal data relating to an individual, where the personal data includes the value of the individual's projected income and the value of the individual's projected expenses. The difference between the projected expenses and the projected income is then calculated, and an annuity is purchased in substantially real time from among a plurality of annuities presented in an auction-style format, where the annuity provides a sum to offset the calculated difference.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2006Date of Patent: January 12, 2010Assignee: Integrated Finance LimitedInventors: Robert Merton, Roberto Mendoza, Peter Hancock, Zvi Bodie

Publication number: 20070238215Abstract: Silicon piezoresistor low pressure transducers can not be made cost effectively with a full scale output large enough to interface to control electronics. The size of the diaphragm, and therefore the size of the die required to produce a sufficient span make the die cost prohibitive. Simultaneously forming transistors and composite diaphragms with a common series of semiconductor processing steps supplies sensing elements and amplifier elements in close proximity. The transistors can be configured to amplify voltages or currents produced by piezoresistors located on the composite diaphragm to produce an output large enough to interface with control electronics. As such, a smaller die results in a cost effective transducer.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2006Publication date: October 11, 2007Inventors: Carl Stewart, Peter Hancock

Publication number: 20050138349Abstract: A method and system for a partitioned computer system includes the establishment of a computer system where each partition is given an economic value determined by the value of the task to be performed and the processing power assigned to perform the task. The sum of all partitions within the system establishes a fixed economic value for the partitioned system. Billing for utilized processor performance within each partition may be performed in relation to rates established for each partition. Each partition may be assigned a metering key which enables metering and reporting of the processor performance utilization of each partition. Billing reports for each partition may be generated and sent via electronic mail along with a digital signature for each partition to a central billing authority for processing.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2003Publication date: June 23, 2005Inventors: Philip Hoffman, Stuart Smith, David Kasarsky, Peter Hancock, Jessica Paragas

Publication number: 20050138422Abstract: A system and method for metering usage of a data processing system and scaling system performance is disclosed. In one embodiment, an authorization key is purchased that specifies both a baseline performance level and a ceiling performance level. The cost of the baseline and ceiling performance levels is included in the price of the key. After the key is installed on the data processing system, the system performance level is monitored and averaged over predetermined time periods. The customer is charged on a “pay-as-you-go” basis for any time periods during which the average performance level exceeds the baseline performance level. Performance of the data processing system is not allowed to exceed the ceiling level obtained with the authorization key. In one embodiment, the baseline level may be set to zero so that all performance consumption is purchased by the customer as it is utilized.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2003Publication date: June 23, 2005Inventors: Peter Hancock, Lee Hansen, Daniel Lenz, Hans Mikkelsen, Ronald Tanning, Philip Hoffman
