  • Publication number: 20240146368
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communications by a wireless device. The wireless device evaluates a plurality of antenna group combinations based on one or more criteria wherein each antenna group combination includes at least two antenna groups of multiple antennas and the one or more criteria involve a first performance value calculated separately for each antenna group in an antenna group combination under evaluation and a second performance value calculated collectively for the at least two antenna groups in the antenna group combination under evaluation. The wireless device selects a subset of the plurality of antenna group combinations, based on the evaluation.

  • Publication number: 20240129911
Abstract: Wireless communication systems and methods related to enhancing initial access for multi-beam operations. A user equipment (UE) selects a synchronization signal block (SSB) that corresponds to a beam and has a reference signal received power (RSRP) above a threshold. The UE receives a system information block (SIB) that includes a plurality of SSB and beam-specific system information pairs. The UE selects beam-specific system information by matching the selected SSB to one of SSBs in the multiple SSB and beam-specific system information pairs. The UE establishes a connection with a base station (BS) using the beam-specific system information.

  • Publication number: 20240114575
Abstract: Techniques described provide dependent procedure operation configured for avoiding or mitigating one or more aspect of the impact on the dependent procedure of cancelling an uplink transmission. One or more attributes (e.g., a transmission indication attribute) associated with a cancelled uplink transmission may be designated for dependent procedure operation, such as for indicating whether the cancelled uplink transmission is considered either as having been transmitted or not having been transmitted. The one or more attributes associated with a cancelled uplink transmission designated for dependent procedure operation may be based upon whether the cancelling the first uplink transmission is a fast cancellation or is a slow cancellation. The designation of a transmission indication attribute for dependent procedure operation may correspond to the dependent procedure and/or its operation. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

  • Publication number: 20240114449
Abstract: A network node may transmit a first signal to a first radio at a user equipment (UE). The UE may receive the first signal from the network node. The first signal may include a first configuration for a second radio at the UE. The UE may operate the second radio in a first mode based on the first configuration received via the first radio. The first radio may have a lower power consumption than the second radio or the second radio may have the lower power consumption than the first radio. For example, one radio may be a low-power wake-up radio (LP-WUR) having a lower power consumption than a main radio (MR) at the UE. The network node and the UE may communicate with one another via the second radio at the UE based on the first configuration transmitted to the first radio.

  • Patent number: 11946044
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods for isolating DNA, such as cell-free DNA (cfDNA) or DNA from a tissue sample, e.g., in which the DNA is partitioned into hypermethylated and hypomethylated partitions. After differential tagging of the partitions, portions of the hypomethylated partition are pooled with the hypermethylated partition or pooled separately. Epigenetic and sequence-variable target regions are captured from the pool comprising DNA from the hypermethylated and hypomethylated partitions, and sequence-variable target regions are captured from the pool comprising DNA from the hypomethylated partition. This approach can reduce costs and/or bandwidth by limiting sequencing of epigenetic target regions from the hypomethylated partition, which may be less informative than other DNA.

  • Publication number: 20240073817
Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a base station includes configuring a tracking reference signal (TRS) with respect to a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) for an idle/inactive mode user equipment (UE). The method also transmits the tracking reference signal and the PDSCH during a paging cycle, in accordance with the configuration. A method of wireless communication by a UE includes expecting a TRS to be received when a PDSCH is received.

  • Patent number: 11917638
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine a downlink configuration including a set of resources for receiving downlink transmissions. The UE may determine, based on the downlink configuration, an uplink configuration including a set of resources for transmitting scheduling requests at a set of scheduling request occasions. In some aspects, the set of scheduling request occasions may be arranged according to a non-uniform spacing pattern in the time domain. The UE may transmit, to a base station, one or more scheduling requests based on the uplink configuration.

  • Patent number: 11917637
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine a downlink configuration including a set of resources for receiving downlink transmissions. The UE may determine a grant for performing uplink transmissions based on a radio resource control (RRC) message. The UE may determine, based on the downlink configuration, the grant, or both, an uplink configuration including a set of resources for transmitting the uplink transmissions at a set of uplink transmission occasions. In some aspects, the set of uplink transmission occasions may be arranged according to a non-uniform spacing pattern in a time domain. The UE may transmit, to a base station, one or more uplink transmissions based on the uplink configuration.

  • Patent number: 6907116
Abstract: A time remaining determination module is implemented in a prepaid service to maintain and/or report subscriber account information based on accurately determined time remaining, even in light of replenishments using differing rate plans and/or dollar values. In particular, the inventive approach utilizes a reporting module which accurately accounts for and determines the total minutes remaining in a subscriber's account by accommodating and adjusting for each potentially different rate plan associated with each recharge or replenishment. This enables the service provider not only to accurately report the account balance in terms of time remaining at any convenient time (e.g., during the call process), but also to correctly manage the subscriber account and call duration.
