  • Publication number: 20070265976
Abstract: The invention relates to a method, a server and a license manager for distributing licenses for software applications in a packet data network having one or more active servers. The number of licenses distributed from the server decreases when the number of active servers increases and further the number of licenses distributed from the server increases when the number of active servers decreases. The licenses to be issued are installed on the license manager and are further requested by the server. A request for licenses from the server to the license manager is based on a determination from the server of the number of active servers in the packet data network and the number of installed licenses at the license manager.

  • Publication number: 20060031369
Abstract: A method, system and Edge Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) Relay/Server for handling MMS messages in an MMS system, wherein incoming MMS messages are received at the Edge MMS Relay/Server from User Agents (UAs). The former determines criteria associated with the MMS messages and based on the criteria, selectively forwards the MMS messages to the proper MMS Relay/Server of a second stage of the MMS system, where the MMS messages are handled based on their type, and further delivered to the MMS recipients. Such criteria may include the retrieval time of the messages, the type of subscription of the user (prepaid vs postpaid), the need for transcoding the MMS message, and immediate vs future delivery time.

  • Patent number: 5719457
Abstract: In a squirrel-cage rotor for an asynchronous machine, having a laminated core (2) which is mounted on the shaft (1), held together at both ends by press rings and is intended for accommodating the cage bars (3), the latter are respectively permanently connected to a short-circuiting ring (4) outside the laminated core (2). Each short-circuiting ring (4) is supported in the radial direction by a support ring (6) fixed on the shaft. In order to couple the cage head to the rotor body over the entire speed range of the machine for the purpose of suppressing natural vibrations, the two press rings are axially spaced from the laminated core (2) and simultaneously form the support ring (6) for the short-circuiting ring (4). In order to ensure the ventilation of the winding overhang, there are provided between the end face of the laminated core (2) and the support ring (6) spacer webs (7) which are preferably constructed in one piece with the support ring (6).
