  • Publication number: 20080085034
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and imaging system to compensate for patient movements when recording a series of medical images, in which a number of images of an area of a patient to be examined are recorded at intervals and are related to one another, especially for movement compensation in Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) or roadmapping (RDMP) in the abdominal area. A plurality of breath-triggered mask images is recorded during a breathing cycle. Frilling images are recorded with the same triggering and mask images and filling images which are recorded for the same breathing states are subtracted from each other in realtime and the difference recordings are displayed in realtime.

  • Publication number: 20050280636
Abstract: The present invention includes interactive communication systems that incorporate several beneficial embodiments including an interactive tray system, an electronic presentation messaging system, an interactive podium, and a key drive system. The interactive tray system enables a single, transferable interactive unit to be fastened to a communication medium, turning into a fully interactive medium. The electronic presentation messaging system enables the e-mailing of presentations and notes to and from components of the interactive communication system. The interactive podium increases conventional podium mobility, enabling both the presenter, and podium, to move and be moved about the room without attention to wired connections.

  • Publication number: 20050156952
Abstract: An interactive display system is provided including a support frame having a vertical positioning element that counterbalances the weight of an attached interactive display, for example a touch-sensitive display. The support frame optionally includes a power supply increasing the range of mobility of the interactive display system by eliminating the need for power cord and power outlet connections. One exemplary support frame for an interactive display includes a base element, at least one support extending vertically from the base element, and a positioning element housed within the at least one support. The positioning element counterbalances the weight of the interactive display allowing vertical repositioning of the interactive display with a force of less than about 25 pounds.

  • Patent number: 4302656
Abstract: The power (performance) of an electric arc welder is controlled in dependence upon the changes in the level of the pool of weldment with respect to the level of the adjoining surfaces of the workpiece. The level of the pool of weldment is detected by measuring the arc voltage and, in accordance with the invention, the distance between the end of the fusible electrode and the level of the workpiece upper surfaces adjoining the pool is maintained constant.

  • Patent number: 4200138
Abstract: A process for shielding molten metal of a casting stream in a casting apparatus from oxidation by the ambient atmosphere which comprises enclosing the casting stream in an atmosphere which consists essentially of a mixture of an inert gas such as nitrogen as a carrier and a reactive gas, such as a hydrocarbon, capable of reacting with oxygen in the melt. The gas atmosphere preferably consists of a mixture containing 5 to 20% by volume of the reducing gas, namely, the hydrocarbon, the balance being the carrier gas namely nitrogen. Any conventional technique can be used to ensure that the gas mixture covers the casting stream.
