Abstract: A system can include a boom assembly operably coupled with a chassis. A first actuator can be operably coupled with a first pair of sections of the boom assembly. A second actuator can be operably coupled with a second pair of sections of the boom assembly. A sensor system can be configured to capture data indicative of one or more operating conditions of the boom assembly. A computing system can be communicatively coupled to the first actuator, the second actuator, and the sensor system. The computing system can be configured to receive the data from the sensor system, determine a current boom profile of the boom assembly, determine a current ground profile relative to the boom assembly, and determine a first position for the first actuator to place the boom assembly in a target boom profile.

Abstract: A method of designing a magnetic shield comprising a structure enclosing a space, the structure comprising passive magnetic shielding material and a winding configured to produce a specified magnetic within the structure when current is passed through the winding, is disclosed. The method comprises determining an optimised configuration of the winding accounting for the presence of the passive magnetic shield material by implementing one or more boundary conditions at the surface of the passive magnetic shielding material.
